That's true, although in this one I'm not completely crazy about the way her hair's been styled, it kind of has that just been washed look, and it's still a little damp.

Me too. They could've fixed or styled her hair differently. The clothes are superb though.

Yeah, the clothes are good, I thought a scene in Downton was filmed at Claridges, but after looking it up I realised it was the Ritz.

I think they probably went for whatever location matched the period, but I did like it whenever they filmed outside of Downton itself, I did read the last ever scene filmed was with Edith and Bertie at the Ritz.
Not entirely sure where this 'singletons dinner' scene was shot, but it was a gorgeous costume on Michelle/Mary..... and the boys look so handsome in their tuxes.

I loved that ep! I like Evelyn & Henry a lot although Evelyn was just used as a red herring in all of this as it was obviously gonna be Henry & Mary in the end.

Oh yeah, you could tell Mary and Evelyn as a couple were going nowhere, plus Henry just looks good enough to eat there, and Mary was probably thinking the same thing. I liked that Tom and Henry were friends too, I'd love to know if their car business was a success. in my head it's yes.

You're right about that.

I feel like Evelyn really liked Mary but Mary was in-love with Matthew and never really liked Evelyn the way she did with Matthew. Mary was also having trouble opening up to Henry because she didn't want to be hurt again and Henry likes cars and we nearly had a scare too so I can understand why she was hesitant with him.

And yes I think Tom & Henry's business was a success. They both like cars and the passion is there.

I think that Mary saw Evelyn as just a friend, even if he probably wanted more with her. and the plot with Henry liking racing cars, you sort of knew it was doomed to end the way it did, I felt so bad for him when he lost his friend.
It was always going to be difficult for Mary when that happened, being reminded of Matthew, but at least she came to her senses about him in the end.

Yeah the minute we found out Henry liked cars, it was like "Uh-oh, this is a trigger for Mary."

Ha, thanks for that clip! It has been years since I re-watched DA and I really miss the show.
