As much as Sofia made me mad, I thought Salma looked amazing at dinner. I loved her dress.

She did look very pretty...a little cold (hearted) but pretty and her vivacious-self.

You have got to see her in Frida as the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. She's so amazing in it. Blew me away.

I love that she really puts her heart into work that she believes in. With Frida much like with UG it was a project she wanted to do for ages (it took her eight years to get Frida moving!) but no one was interested so she took it to Harvey Weinstein personally, campaigned, got Miramax to back it, co-produced the film and starred in it herself. Everyone loved it and she ended up with an Oscar nomination.

Also worth checking her out in Dogma, Desperado and Once Upon a Time In Mexico (she also sings an amazing Spanish track on the soundtrack-she can really sing-it's called Siente Mi Amor.

I love her as Sofia..pure Salma lol. And don't get me started on her in the telenovela

She is great! She and Matthew's character meet and spend a night together. She gets pregnant and chaos ensues. And Matthew is beyond adorable in it! hehe

So, she's the love interest, I take it?

Oh I know...she was so sweet with America. I loved them being so close on stage when the show won.

Salma Hayek to announce Oscar nominees

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Oscar-nominated actress Salma Hayek will help announce the nominees for the 79th annual Academy Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif., next week.

Hayek will join Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Sid Ganis in unveiling nominations in 10 of the 24 award categories during an 8:30 a.m. (EST) news conference at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, the academy said Wednesday.

Hayek was nominated for Best Actress in 2002 for her portrayal of artist Frida Kahlo in "Frida." Hayek's other films include "Ask the Dust," "After the Sunset," "Once upon a Time in Mexico," "Dogma" and "Fools Rush In."

The Academy Awards will be presented Feb. 25 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood in ceremonies to be televised live on ABC.
