And with that, the first annual Great American Hair-Off was born. "What we need to have right now, just for fun, is the hair-off and I have brought this right here," Billy told an unsuspecting Dempsey as a fan was whipped out. After gaining his composure from fits of laughter, Dempsey revealed he would enter the competition, thanks to his worthy opponent. "If it was anybody other than you, I would never do this," Dempsey laughed.
