first chapter is not that long, but what i like about it is that it starts with and epi Run Away Little Boy..i always liked how Luke was jealous there, personally i think he didn't have the right to get mad cause well that kid had guts to ask her out and he didn't..but i like how he gets mad in GAD, how he makes a scene, and it always makes me hot thinking about ranting, mad Luke

so this is the best part of ch 1 for me

“You’re right!” Luke yelled back, “It’s never a big deal for you. You’re engaged, then you’re not! Rory’s dad is here, then he’s not! I just sit here watching you flit from man to man. Then, this kid walks in, and I find out that you’re dating someone who makes Doogie Howser look like a geezer. And, I can’t help thinking to myself my God, get a clue Danes, she’s going to date anyone else in the world before she’ll date you, so get over it!” Luke bellowed as he slammed the coffee pot on the counter.

oh boy

then i like in 2nd ch how Luke freakes out and Lorelai claims she didn't know Luke likes her i like Sookie, she's like the best friend ever

i always crack up on this

I love that Luke freak-out. It's so funny yet sad at that same time, because you can see how crazy she makes him. I think that's probably exactly what he was supposed to be thinking during the show, but just didn't say it.

i love that freak-out but you're right Sanja. He didn't have the right to get mad because he didn't ask her out and how can he expect to go out with her if he doesn't ask?
but rating Luke is hot! and i love how his character is written by Mags

Oh my, I had forgotten about that Luke rant Now I can laugh about it but I remember it was one of the most awkward fic scenes I ever read

i like Sookie, she's like the best friend ever

Oh yeah, Sookie is a top JJ friend I love how she insists for Lorelai to open her ayes

What I love about this fic is that we get to know the "inside scoop" , especially from Luke's POV, and I think it's the closest to what could have happened in the actual show. I really can picture Luke thinking all those things

I also love how their talk from the end of episode RALB turned out...and the fact that Rory was very supportive of their date

yeah cause they had to get together in s4 not 2..but i'm sure Lorelai saw it in his eyes, like she said she did in GAD...

That was one heck of a first chapter. I was in love with it from the beginning and Luke's outburst

And can i mock a fic? After s7 Lorelai gets back together with Luke but then realizes she still "loves" (year right, like that ever happened) dopey and goes back to him

I love luke too and to be honest you are one of the few writers I feel do him and his emotions justice. I find a lot of writers try to brush him off as some romantic hero that must always be at Lorelai's beckon call. You really tapped into his emotions--anger, frustation, and above all his love.

Oh, and I absolutely loved Luke's outburst in the first chapter of GAD (without the exclamation point, since that would be the dirty )

And how stunned Lorelai was, of course, and then sending him the smoke signal. Awesome
