They haven't even announced the nominations yet so how can you say that? Yes he will have tough competition IF he get's nominated and it's more than likely he won't win. Just being realistic.

Another mention about the Tonys and the possibility of Dan being nominated.

yes, that is what I am trying to said. If he get nominated he most likely he would not win because there will be some tough competition. But who knows.

June 7th on CBS. And the nominations will be presented at 8:30 am on The Early Show.

I was telling my friend that he didn't get one and she was shocked too. She wasn't as big a fan as I am at the time and she was really impressed with him.

Turns out alot of people were shocked. Just imagine what kind of publicity the Tony's would have gotten if he HAD got nominated. It would have done wonders to their ratings to see if Harry Potter got a Tony! OMG. They missed out.

Another award he still has a chance of winning is the Audience award though. He's nominated for Favorite Leading Actor in a Broadway Play category; and a second for Favorite Breakthrough Performance (Male). Equus itself was nominated for Favorite Broadway Play Revival.
