that was a very nice moment, they were both so proud when they learned that Mary was a hunter. I wish we could have seen more of The Campbells, more cheerful moments.

First of all I agree with Dean!
Sam would have wanted to be a part of it.
That aside I think he'd mostly be in shock to see Young!John considering their relationship and the conseption and idea he had about his dad.

I think so too, because Dean has at least some memory of who John was before the fire, but all Sam has ever known is hunter John.

im glad sam didn't go, (and it's not just because i got to perv on dean more) but if sam went he would have done everything in his power (including using his powers if he could) to change the future and he would try to have changed it until he died.

You're right Casey. If Sam had been up against Azazel, he would have used his mojo on him no question. Plus I think it was something Dean needed to learn by himself in order to understand and help his brother.

I'm glad that Sam didn't go with Dean, he needed to find out about the past on his own. Sam would have messed things up I think.

I love that the boys were in such awe over their mum being a totally kickass hunter, but I can't help but think Sam should've been a bit more in shock. I sort of his expected his reaction to be a lot like Dean's, and ours - "WTF?!" It's quite a shocking revelation, I dunno...I just expected a bit more, since his actual reaction was a bit passive.

I too am glad and prefered storywise that Sam didn't go, I just think Dean makes a point that he would have wanted to and, objectivelly speaking, he had the right to.

Well they've seen some pretty weird stuff and alsoe factoring in that Sam didn't actually experience any of it it could explain why he was so calm over the whole thing.

I agree on both counts, I loved that this was Dean's journey and moment, Sam wouldn't have fit in the story. but i am sad that Sam missed out on seeing his mom and dad back then.

I agree with you.I also expected Sam being more surprised.Another thing I expected more emotive reaction was when Dean told him that God and Cas want to stop him using his power.He is the one who has admited that he prays to God sometimes and didnt have any problem with believing in angels and then he seemed to me like Dean told him you forgot to buy pie for me- sam´s face was like yea,really did i?!I though it would shocked him a litlle bit more.
