My Thanksgiving was pretty good. We ate at my house with some relatives. We do it every year but this was the first year without my grandma there It was kind of weird

Sunday sounds great! Can't wait. Did we settle on a time?

I don't think we did. I was trying to leave it up to you since you're in the latest time zone(correct?).. Anyways.. I'm good for anytime because I very highly doubt my dad's fam will be eating Sunday Night Supper this week.

Thank you i'm just glad that our family still decided to have Thanksgiving. My uncle wasn't sure he wanted to.

I think Vals is the last time zone. Anytime is good for me! I'll be home since it's back to school the next day

Yeah my aunts wanted to skip it too. It wound up that the out of towners didn't come here but ate where they are and those of us in the area ate. The same happened this year. The out of towners ate together and those in the area ate together. Even without them we wound up with 28. The out of towners are coming in for Christmas though


I thought she was in Pacific? That's the earliest.. that puts her behind.. it's like 6 here so like 4 her time? I'm thinking along the lines of if we start it at 7 central that's 8 eastern so it's less time for eastern if they have to go to bed earlish? Just someone pick a time

and bad news on the party for sunday.. my mom needs me to serve on sunday.. i'm all kinds of pissed.. although the extra cash will do good.. since i pay my car with those paychecks..

Val how do you like working banquets and events? I'm thinking about applying for a server job next spring

well.. when it's slow.. it kinda sucks.. but if you're working with a good crew.. it's fun... i've been around most of these people since i was like 15.. so it's been a long time.. plus i went to high school with one of the girls.. we're basically all related somehow.. like my mom is the manager.. and two of the other workers are brother and sister, and one of the guys got his god daughter a job.. you know.. it's one big family thing..

but i actually like it.. and it's all practice.. i can carry three entrees now! so proud.. last year i could only carry two.. one in each hand.. now i'm doing alright.. and the tips are good.. even though you hardly ever see it.. because it goes straight into your paycheck..

bartending is really fun though.. sometimes i'm running through the kitchen yelling how much i dislike it.. but it really is fun. i love knowing what goes in each of the drinks and when people see a woman as a bartender they tend to try and stump me.. but i usually can figure it out..

Congrats on 3 entrees Val!! Sound like a pretty good job. Maybe I'll give it a try if they are hiring. It would definitely beat working at a store. I hate working at stores
