I really miss this thread! Emma has like kinda disappeared a little bit. Mel B is the one doing most things now. She has the Singing Office, a new kids tv show coming out soon, a new ablum soon, and producing a movie.

Man, oh, man do I remember the Spice Girls. My sister and I were crazy over them when were kids; We got the dolls, Mel B and Sporty Spice for Christmas one year. We'd repeat the Chorus Line for "Wannabe" over and over until our parents got sick and tired of it. My Mom thought the group was a little too racy for us, so we weren't allowed to listen to them and we practically had to beg her to watch Spice World. We wanted to dress up like them, and even wear the platform heels despite the dangers.
Ha, those were some good times regardless of the bumps in the road. Our very first CD from them that we bought, unfortunatley, was Forever just as the group split up and decided to try their hands a Solo Careers. We were unhappy to say the least; We found out the reason (or at least the beginning) of their break up on VHI's Behind the Music Bio-Show on their rise and fall from fame. I honestly wanted to choke Ginger Spice (Geri), because I figured it was all her fault for their break up because she got embarassed by her nude photos. As time went on we forgot about them, and they didn't resurface in our lives until much later on (2007 I think) when I heard about the news surrounding Mel B and Eddie Murphy, and well, their appearance on the 2007 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. I made it a priority to get their old CD's (and B-Sides on the singles) afterward and Have been jamming to them ever since. I forgot how much I enjoyed them. I ain't ashamed to say I'm still a huge fan. My favorite was Mel B/Scary Spice. For some reason I dubbed her the "leader" of the group, I dunno why. __________________

I thought their performance was okay. I was definitely looking forward to it and they seemed to be having a lot of fun with it! I wish they had done Spice Up Your Life in full. That song was always so lively!!

They were my favourite part of the closing ceremony. It made me feel like the 10 year old girl I was when they first released Wannabe.

As someone rightly said in another forum - They're something special, as a five-piece
I agreed, thats how they work - its five or nothing. They can still rock it, after years i listened to their songs and wow took me right back I just noticed Geri's taxi was a union jack lighted up lol I am actually ok and proud to say i still love them - i dont think i ever stopped Thumbs up to Mayor of London Boris Johnson doing a jiggying whilst Spice girls were on stage __________________
