Shauna, this has definitely been the most shippy season premiere. On a normal circumstance I would have probably hated how much the case was neglected but after the season 4 finale, I feel this episode was needed! __________________

Oh for sure. After the finale and the fan response from the finale, it was definitely for the best that the premiere mostly revolved around BB and their relationship.

^ I saw people complaining about the focus of BB in the episode but I think it's safe to assume BB are going to be focus of this season. I hope people are going to be ok with that. I know I am!

I thought the ep had a good balance for BB being the main focus. Lots of different characters interacting!
The show always centers around BB so I don't know how anyone could be surprised but HH and everyone have been saying that the squints will have a bigger role this season so hopefully everyone will be able to be more satisfied. __________________

Yeah I hope there will be more people saying good things and less complaining. It should be nice to get more insights into the other squints lives. I have read fics where there are parties at Hodgins big mansion. I would love to see that in an episode.

I don't get how people can complain though. BB always had the main focus. You know what? .. It dosen't matter.
But considering the finale cliffhanger was about BB.. the premiere kinda had to revolve around them.  I would love to see them have a huge party at Hodgins Mansion! That'd be so fun!  __________________

And I guess maybe people thought BB had "too much" focus because there wasn't really a B story like their usually is? Who knows. I heart the secondary characters on this show as much as anyone else (probably more, lol) but I don't know how you can complain when a show focuses on the two characters the show's about, ha. I do think this episode had a slightly different vibe but any episode that's following up a big cliffhanger is going to, so I didn't really think anything of it. You have to tie up loose ends and I think they did it nicely and gave a good segue into the rest of the season - establishing where BB are was an important precedent to set. Quote:
