Ryan Gosling looks up through the pouring rain on the cover of Interview magazine’s November 2010 issue!

The 29-year-old actor, who wore a Burberry Prorsum jacket paired with a Dolce & Gabbana sweater and tank, was interviewed by The Office funnyman Steve Carell, who stars opposite Ryan in next year’s Crazy, Stupid, Love, for the issue! Here’s what Ryan had to share:

On the Interview shoot: “The pictures which will be accompanying this interview are basically of me in tight, wet T-shirts and tiny leather jackets going around in the rain and pretending that I’m a lot cooler than I am.”

On being mistaken for another famous Ryan: “I can’t tell you how many times people go, ‘Are you Ryan?…Then they take the picture and realize, in that moment, that I’m not Ryan Reynolds.”

On one of his more memorable past roles: “It feels like not that long ago that I was on a show called Young Hercules in which I had a fake tan and wore tight leather pants and fought imaginary monsters.”

It's a pretty amazing shoot. Steve's interview of him pretty neat too.

The Clooney movie seems locked in now, with financing and George joining the cast too. Apparently, it'll begin shooting in February in Michigan and Ohio.

Given that this is his second cover, primarily out of BV promotion, I wonder if we'll get to see him do a TV interview or two too as its release approaches.

HollywoodNews.com: George Clooney’s adaptation of Broadway play “Farragut North” will be getting distributed by Sony next December.

Re-titled “The Ides of March,” the film follows a slippery press spokesperson in the Capital Hill circuit. Film stars Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood.

Ryan Gosling has apparently been offered the role of “Private Billy Cage” in Doug Liman‘s sci-fi project All You Need Is Kill.

Dante Harper adapted Hiroshi Sakurazaka‘s novel, which tells the story of a young solider who “is about to take part in a make-or-break battle against an alien force.”

Here is what Russ wrote about the plot:

“The core idea is simple: It revolves around a solid character and has a premise and development that propels it quickly. A couple of spots faltered in my reading, but those points aren’t deal-breakers. The young solider is a lackluster fighter at first, but he becomes caught in a Groundhog Day-style time loop, and has to relive the battle over and over. It isn’t as repetitive as the basic idea sounds, however, as the solider realizes his predicament and starts to approach it almost like a video game in which he has infinite lives. Basically take that ‘Starship Troopers meets Groundhog Day’ idea and infuse it with a healthy videogame sensibility.”

Here is the official description from the book:

L to R (Western Style). There’s one thing worse than dying. It’s coming back to do it again and again…When the alien Gitai invade, Keiji Kiriya is just one of many raw recruits shoved into a suit of battle armor and sent out to kill. Keiji dies on the battlefield, only to find himself reborn each morning to fight and die again and again. On the 158th iteration though, he sees something different, something out of place: the female soldier known as the Bitch of War. Is the Bitch the key to Keiji’s escape, or to his final death?
