I hope soon Wendy. I guess it already started for Jake with him attending the big fight and such but I hope the joint promotion will start soon. I wonder if there will be a big promotion tour since it will also be released in the UK in July.

The audience sometimes, I guess, needs a little bit more context, especially this type of movie where it’s more of an emotional ride than people think—because it’s really a father/daughter story. So I had to roll with that. But, yeah, I was concerned about it, for sure. I still am.”

Last night Jake attended the Spike TV Guys Choice Awards. During the show he accepted the Guy Con award from his ‘Southpaw’ co-star Rachel McAdams. The Spike TV Guys Choice Awards will air June 18th at 9 PM (EST).

As far as I know, no red carpet premiere has been announced. There was an auction a while back for a private screening and premiere tickets so I'm assuming there will be a premiere
