No, not even sure there is going to be one. Although, Netflix does usually host premieres and such for it's original content but I guess it's different for The Little Prince because it's not original content?

Originally set for Paramount release March 18, Netflix will stream the animated movie August 5—and, Netflix tells Indiewire, they will open the movie day and date in theaters in advance of a full-scale Oscar campaign.

Adapted by top American animator Mark Osborne (“Kung Fu Panda”) from the 1943 French children’s classic by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (which has been translated into 260 languages and is still a staple on children’s bookshelves), “The Little Prince” premiered at Cannes 2015 to rave reviews.

“This was a complex and unconventional ordeal,” said Osborne, clearly disappointed. Netflix will release the film day and date online and in big cities, “Beasts of No Nation”-style, on August 5. “We are honored to be able to make it available to U.S. audiences,” Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said via email. “The animation is sublime, blending CG and stop-motion, and we are planning a robust awards campaign for this very worthy endeavor.”

So far Netflix has not achieved any Oscar traction outside the documentary realm, where theatrical success is not essential to achieving winning momentum. Animation will be new ground.

I honestly don't see how this film can't get Oscar recognition, it really is extraordinary. Fingers crossed!

Well, I actually was surprised Paramount dropped it because I think the animation work is extraordinary. Especially the stop-motion and I sort of assumed that Paramount would try to get it into the Oscar race.

I do hope this means Netflix is planning on actually promoting it and that they are able to get the cast together for press

I haven't seen it, I was hoping I would be able to see it in theaters.

Mark Osborne has been doing interviews and Q&A's this past week. I was hoping that the rest of the cast would join him, but it seems only Mackenzie has joined him thus far.
