^ It was definitely needed. They could have both thought that the other one didn't think they had a friendship, so they wouldn't have mentioned it, and a friendship would have been in limbo. That would have made me sad.

& obviously it was gonna be awkward for a while, because things were so messed up with Cory & Topanga, & they all knew where Shawn's loyalties were gonna be...

^ For sure. I love that they both made sure that they didn't leave things unsaid and awkward for too long. They faced it head-on and dealt with the situation. They knew where they stood with each other, which helped them make sure their friendship survived the bumps in the road.

It did, & I think they learned that it's best to talk these things out, so if anything similar happened down the line, they'd know how to deal with that too

^ Oh, yes. I think Shawn and Topanga both knew that they would need to be there for each other as friends as they all dealt with the ups and downs of Cory and Topanga's relationship. It was good that they established their bonds of friendship early on.

Aw, I love Shawn's reaction to Kenny asking Topanga to borrow her pencil. I also love Topanga's reaction to Shawn's reaction. =p

^ Oh, boy! It would be terrifying for the poor guy trying to hit on Topanga. Shawn probably scared away lots of guys who thought they would be brave and go for it. =p

^ That sounds right. Shawn always was very protective of Cory and Topanga's relationship, so of course he made sure nobody messed with it.

Aw, that is one of my favorite Shawn/Topanga moments! I love that Shawn got through to Topanga. It was such an important moment for both of them. He reminded her who she was. I will always love the part where she dunked her head in the sink and then whipped around and splashed Shawn with the water on her hair.

The girls room scene. I liked that one. And I really loved whenever we got those periodic just Shawn and Topanga scenes.
