Exactly. There is no doubt in my mind that Shawn would have had a no strings attached moment with a girl if he hadn't had deep feelings for her. It was clear that Shawn's feelings for Angela were too strong, which is why he couldn't put aside his feelings long enough to go through with that no strings attached moment. That meant something.

I'm with Angela there too - especially as, before Angela confessing her feelings, Shawn made it seem as if he was going to act on his feelings for her, so when he didn't that must have really hurt her

Yeah, it's like he was stringing her along. She completely opens herself up to him and is honest, then he follows up by saying she is a great person. WTF? Plus, right before that they kissed too. He shouldn't of did all that if he wasn't ready. I'm just glad after Shawn pulled that, she wasn't going to let herself be vulnerable like that to Shawn again just to get hurt.

That's true. How could Shawn tell Angela that he thought he wanted to be free but he couldn’t stop thinking about her, and then turn around and tell her that he didn't know what he wanted and that he didn't think he wasn't ready? He didn't handle the situation right.

He definitely didn't, if he already knew that he didn't want to get back together with her, he should have led with that instead of letting her confess all her feelings like that

It makes total sense that Angela shut herself off to him after that

Yeah, doing all that stuff like saying he wrote that poem cause of Angela, saying she is always on his mind, or after the Christmas episode he's really down cause Angela went on a date. Like what the hell do you want? STFU.

I completely agree. Shawn should have figured out how he felt about Angela before he even thought about talking to her. He made things worse between them, not better.

Yup! What happened between them in that moment definitely played a huge part in Angela keeping Shawn at a distance, and not even considering getting back together with him. She needed to take the time to heal from that hurt, and to make sure he wasn't going to change his mind about being with her.
