^ That's so true! When I see photos like that photo, I have to remind myself that he joined the cast in season two. He always looked so comfortable and at ease when he did scenes with the other cast members. He seemed to click with everyone from his first moment on the show.

He did, both onscreen & off, it always seemed like he was immediately embraced as one of the bmw family

It was awesome! Such a great twist that he was a teacher, I think everyone was intrigued by him after that to see what kind of teacher he'd be!

^ I think so too. Mr. Turner definitely did not look like a typical teacher (i.e. Mr. Feeny), so I imagine the characters (and a lot of viewers) were intrigued by him.

Yeah, I think that everyone must have felt like there was a story there & I bet everyone couldn't wait to find out what it was!

^ I think so too. I imagine there were plenty of people who wondered why, of all of the career paths Mr. Turner could have chosen, he chose to be a teacher.

^ I don't remember either. I wonder how Mr. Turner's parents felt about his career path, since they probably had very specific ideas about some of his potential career paths, and I'm guessing being a teacher was probably not one of them.

That's true, I do remember it being mentioned that Turner's parents were rich & that maybe they had cut him off after he changed career paths...

^ That's how I remember it. Hopefully Mr. Turner's parents realized that being a teacher made him happy and that that's all they wanted for him.
