Great episode!
Cristina and Dr. Burke, HOT! They look good together!George is too funny when he's drunk! That party was insane! Izzy's boyfriend was such a jerk! I just love Derek! The looks he's always giving Meredith, they'd melt glaciers! The Nazi is definitely going to give them trouble! And Alex and Izzy with that patient, they work well together. I so think she should dump her BF and hook up with Alex. He may arrogant, but he has his moments. He's not always a nuisance! I can't wait for next week's episode! __________________

i totally agree wih you jason's Lover4life , derek looks at meredith differently... and now that Nazi has caught them, looks like issues etc are coming out, big time! __________________

My thoughts - just random stuff...
Meredith's voiceover's - They're driving me nuts. Seriously, they're heading into Liz Parker territory, they're so insipid. Cookies and bicycles? And isn't Meredith in her 30's? Should she be past the "Oh My God, I have responsibilities!" stage? And I thought it was horrible of her to go off on the staff at her mother's home. She of all people should know what they go through. Alex - I liked him much better in this episode. But I missed what he said during the brain surgery, and I know it was important. Izzie - I liked her hockey guy. I was afraid he'd be some jerk, but he was a genuinely nice person who was just wrong for her. And I recognized "Edge of the Ocean". It's an eerie coincidence. Izzie/Alex - Enjoyed their interaction, and Justin and Katie have a nice chemistry. I actually believed that they were OK with each other now. George - Loved him as usual. Totally identified with being asked if he's old enough to do his job. I go through it all the time. Burke - Wow, I really loved him in this episode. It took major guts (no pun intended) to do what he did. Burke/Cristina - It's hot, and I like how IW/SO are really keeping us guessing at what's really going on. The coffee moment was cute.  Derek - It was nice to see him do something besides flirt with Meredith. I keep forgetting he's a doctor. Patrick Dempsey can do *so much* more than what he's been given so far. Derek/Mer - Um, they didn't do a very good job of hiding. And the Nazi catching them! That was too sweet. Nazi - Not enough of her, and I can't wait to see what happens when she finds out about B/C. It was nice to see her in another outfit. George/Mer - Lots of nice Survivor moments. It's telling that George was the only one who Mer could talk to about the botched surgery. Other stuff: -Why did Derek need Izzie to discharge Alex's patient? It just seemed like a plot device to keep her at the hospital. -I was thinking the addict threw himself on the floor on purpose to get more pain medication. -Does Burke or Cristina keep condoms under their sugical caps? It seems odd for a pair of doctors to have possibly unprotected sex. __________________

We definitely saw a new side of Alex this week! Still, I'd prefer to see Isabel wind up with George. Or better yet, the original Alex.
Interesting story with Burke and Meredith... I'm glad he stood up to her. Of course, making people work 48 hour shifts is just begging for mistakes.    |

I think that's a TV invention. I've never heard of anyone including doctor's work that long. It would be a major liability for the hospital, IMO.

I'm fairly sure it's real, I've read news stories on the subject. Apparently in Britain, IIRC, they finally got rid of that system, but they still have it in the US and Canada. But I bet you're right that liability is the key issue that might lead to change.
