I think this ship is a go, but i think they are doing a slow built up (Alex with Morgan seems to me like it's going to be his Transitional Relationship so when Alex/April happen he'll have moved on for sure from Izzie.

 EDIT: I hope it's a go! They still have little things like April taking Alex's shift for him with Morgan, even though she didn't know what she was doing. Plus, she asked him to move in with her and Jackson in the new place! __________________

I think they are kinda cute together.....opposites attract and all that. Alex definately needs someone to bring the softer side of him out whil Aprils sweet side needs to be challenged.
