The funny thing is that when we just had spoilers about Paul no one could really understand what type of relationship he and Rory had, and now even watching people seem not to know either. That's pretty weird, especially if he is only in Winter.

same! The only reason I'm even worrying about it now is because I saw some Lits saying something along those lines. At first I laughed it off, but then I let my mind go there. I just went back and reread the answers from the second thread, and the girl said she hasn't liked Rory for awhile now. So I'm wondering if she's just making it sound worse than it is because of her feelings. The first girl made it sound so much more light hearted.

Dunno why we're covering Paul spoilers?

We have known for months that Rory was going to have a boyfriend named Paul in the first episode, and we also knew that Rory forgot their 2 year anniversary for...reasons.

I had speculated in the R/L thread that the reason Rory forgets the anniversary is Logan-related...given the current spoilers, I'm more certain than ever that's indeed going to be the case.

I think that ASP is going for a kinda Carrie/Big in Sex and the City thing with Rory and Logan; not sure how I feel about that, but I think It's quite possible.

Paul will be a non-issue, I think?

ASP will get around this by:

1. Have Lorelai treat the Paul thing as a joke for...reasons (Maybe she knows that Rory is still into Logan? Maybe?)
2. Make it clear to the viewer that Paul is completely wrong for Rory (not difficult if they write it well)
3. Make it clear to the viewer that Rory is still into Logan, even if she thinks it's just casual.


I would avoid any Literati threads right now? Obviously they are going to be writing not so very nice things right now...


IMO, there is just no way to reconcile a Literati ending with the current spoilers (and this includes all the comments by Tanc and the LDB boys); it's either Logan or...no one.

I wonder if the scene Nick talked about being some of the best acting, and the "heat" scene Stan talked about are one in the same. Maybe heat refers to an argument. Like, everything simmers under the surface for a while and then at some point they reach some boiling point where all their hurt or feelings or whatever surface.

Hey everyone! I'm weak and all these new spoilers got me thinking...

Spoiler:

Here are my thoughts/opinions, even though they may be far fetched. R/L have their friends with benefits relationship going. The spoilers said that Rory seems a little testy/jealous at the idea of other girls' things being at Logan's apartment, so I think it's safe to say that she still has feelings for him and her s5 jealousy is going to start rearing its ugly head soon enough. In my mind, I feel there will come a point where Rory's jealousy reaches a tipping point; either she sees him with another girl at a LDB thing or even at his apartment and freaks out. Logan finally has had enough and points out that she has/had a boyfriend (Paul) and that SHE rejected HIS marriage proposal all those years ago. They have it out and that's the 'heated' moment that had been previously discussed. What does everyone think about this? Honestly, it seems like the most plausible option to me. Fingers crossed that it's not wishful thinking because my brain is already thinking up all the amazing scenes for gifs and youtube videos

I wonder what the point of the bf is if she doesn't really see him or talk to him much and continually forgets about him? I mean it sounds like she's barely in one place so how much of a relationship can they really have?

So does Logan's appearance in Winter confirms they were deliberately hiding Logan/Matt?

That's something I always thought, that there was a reason Matt did no interviews. Or how there were so vague about everything concerning him. I mean the press that okay because Jared and Milo had both a other show to promote. But no Ausiello interview, when they have been friends for a long time? That was just fishy.

I honestly don't see that happening. For me it looks like they accidentally met in London when they both had work their, one thing let to another and the next morning they agreed that obviously the chemistry is still there but there are not ready to commit to anything especially considering their work situation. Which let them to their current predicament. Where there are somewhere in-between not knowing out to get out of it.

I am convinced more than ever that it is either going to be Logan or no-one. They don't let Rory hook-up with Logan and keep him around for the final 3 episodes. where pretty much all his scenes involve Rory or are about Rory to let her end up with Jess. Makes no sense. If it had been platonic between RL in this episode or had they not met at all in it, it could have been different, but not like that.

While I think the heat comment was definitely meant in a passionate, physical way, I agree that there will come a point where BOTH reach their breaking point with their current arrangement. I mean from failed marriage proposal, to breaking-up to casual hooking-up whenever they are at the same place? Can't see that as something both can do long-term, not with everything that happened in the past.
