I am sure it will be online when the DVD gets released. Do you know how to rip it from Amazon though? haha

anyways, what is the difference, do you know? Because The Russian version is 1 hour and 33 minutes and The English version is 1 hour and 41 minutes. Did they add some scenes in or something because I know they cut out alot of scenes. 8 minutes time difference is big.

Russia dubbed: 1 hr 33 min
English release: 1 hr 41 min

I've got no idea. I rented it from a media box, not directly on the Amazon site.

And I've not seen anything from the Russian version so I can't tell what was added or extended. The original runtime was over 2 hours, right?

I did read that the original run time was like 2 hours and 22 minutes.

Did the film have an opening credit sequence in the english version?

Not really. They kinda used the online chat between Lana and Janie as an introduction to the movie leading to the title. But not a full credit thing with the actor and producer names.

There was a credits sequence at the end, but only very basic. And strangely, they still used the "and introducing Shantel VanSanten" tag for her name. When she's been in many projects, lol.

Now I am interested on why the english version is 8 minutes longer than the Russian.

well technology YOU AND I was Shantel's first STARRING leading role in film. It just took longer for this film to be released.

Hopefully someone who has seen the Russian version in full will also watch the English version so they can fill us in.

Hopefully or I'll just wait until January 31, 2012 to make the comparison. I mean if there is no opening credits like in the Russian which first came to mind but now have no idea. Ether scenes got extended or they added in deleted scenes.

1 hour and 33 minutes (Russian Dubbed)
1 hour and 41 minutes (english release)

speaking of deleted scenes, hopefully the english release will have DVD special features. This is Lionsgate so there usually are at least deleted scenes.

Trying to think of deleted scenes that could have added in that would have extended the english release by eight minutes.

Is this part in the english cut of the film?

maybe IF there are deleted scenes on the DVD by Lionsgate that is one of them.

Lionsgate most of the time do have special features even if it is just deleted scenes.
