I think they may have added some scenes in the US release because....

The Russian Version is 1 hour and 33 minutes.
The English Version is 1 hour and 41 minutes.

That would be cool.

Have you seen the Russian version in full?

I stayed away from the russian version because i don't understand fluent russian and wanted to wait until the english.

Just a quick FYI, I just tested the Amazon Instant Video service on my Roku media player and this movie is currently available for streaming :D I rented it for $3.99 earlier today but I'm gonna watch it later tonight.

Do you know how to rip it? You should rip and than upload on a file sharing website like megaupload. Lol

Just some thoughts on the movie, not really that positive, unfortunately:

Let me just start by saying that it's really not my type of movie so I think I always going to struggle enjoying this one. But it was no better or worse than I was expecting.

Lana was a decent character for Mischa to play so I do get why Mischa was attracted to her as a character, but I think the storytelling overall was a little messy and there was not enough character development to make me care enough. Mainly, I think the Lana/Janie storyline was taken for granted. By the end I really wasn't sure whether they were lovers or just friends who had a brief lesbian fling since Lana seems to like guys equally as much.

Janie actually gets pretty mean in the middle of the movie so I struggled to root for her, especially since we didn't get nearly enough background on her to make me understand why she acts the way she does. It's a shame, cause I think Shantel was great in the scenes she was given.

Plus there were a whole bunch of really weird and sleazy characters that made the movie really tacky. But I guess that was the point by exploring the underbelly of what it takes to 'live your dream' in Moscow.

There was definite potential here to be a better movie. But they got sidetracked by the whole sleazy-Russia angle rather than focusing on the actual characters. Both Lana and Janie have kinda cliche back stories, but that was the only element grounding the movie from being completely ridiculous.

Oh, and Mischa's hair LOL. If you guys remember, they had to shoot extra scenes in Los Angeles after the production in Russia had finished so they put a wig on Mischa. It is pretty hilarious to see. The wig is much much shorter and looks entirely different to Mischa's real hair so you'll see what is supposed to be one day in the movie, but Mischa has entirely different heads of hair. They didn't even try to make the wig look similar.

All that being said, it was still cool to see Mischa and Shantel work together. A lot of their scenes were very fun to watch. And a couple were very hot. So that ended up making the movie enjoyable enough.

I'm looking forward to everyone seeing it so I can hear some other thoughts on it.
