Ben got SOME good material in the Trey storyline, but honestly not as much as Mischa, lol, so yeah, his material peaked in S1. Josh really lost the thread with Ryan, and moreover, it was like he didn't care. "Don't know what to do with Ryan, guess I'll make him a sad sack and have it be Marissa's fault."
