I think they were too young and in just generally not a good fit, but it's obvious the way it went down was pretty scarring for her. To keep pushing it in fandom is disrespectful.

LOL, that really is silly. Mark is a lot of terrible things, but he's actually fairly consistent on that one. He was never, ever, ever going to end with BL. Hard to say if they would have made it all the way through S3 if he wasn't basically trying to prove a point.

Someone tried to use the destiny shot as prove of that, but it backfired when multiple people pointed out that CS had been broken up for a while when that scene was shot.

Oh, that! Er, they broke up like...right before S3 started filming. LOL. So yeah, they were definitely done by then. It was clear from all the LP scenes in early S3 that Mark was headed back there, he just needed to "prove his point" first.

Still think it was the worst thing the show did with both of those characters was going back there in S2

People think he liked JP because of something years after the show ended, but he clearly didn't like them enough to make them any sort of connection outside of Jenny.
