we already knew about the duet and that they sung together before but apparently she thinks about releasing it as her next single

In an interview with ET Canada from her Montana ranch, Kelly says, “I already have many songs recorded for the new album and I actually just recorded a duet that I wish I could talk about but I can’t!” She gushes that the song is “so good” and would only give some vague hints as to who the other artist might be. “I happened to sing with this person within the last six months and we loved singing together so much,” she says. “It was so cool how our voices just sounded together.” Kelly says her label found the “perfect song” for them to record together. I'm more curious to know what kind of songs we can expect on this album
she said she was writing lately and given her current relationship status I wonder if that 'inspired' her with a lack of better word to write again to deal with her emotions

It could be possible. I wonder if she will scrap some of the things she wrote and include some more last minute new additions. Although if their marriage was strained for a while (like even last year or so), then perhaps she wrote about it earlier anyway.

I'm very heartbroken for her that she lost her marriage but Kelly writing her own stuff is often pure magic!

I find it hard to imagine what could of song they could do together
I know he's famous for a broadway play but I have no clue if he does music of his own
I remember him from Pitch Perfect 2 I think

Looking him up he's supposedly a singer/songwriter (as well as the other things) & he released his first album last year
