He does look yummy but I agree I don't like the goatee either.

Isn't the goatee an older pic? I do miss face scruff (Scott Luke or anybody)- vs. clean shaven Gary, but no matter which one, it's still Scott!! I'm just so glad there's a new show to look forward every week! And look - he couldn't snuggle with LG like he can with AP. Lauren's legs would've been half-way out of the shot!!
Meanwhile (based on ep.; haven't checked caps yet) ... I think Gary also had his hand on Franny's leg in the Pilot - in the guidance counselor's office, shortly before he gets the check. Hard to see since they're on opposite side of desk, but his arm is definitely at an angle in the direction of her knees.
Until SP gets his breakout romantic full-feature film, there is only one limo scene!! And even then, imho!! Meaning - he may do sexier stuff onscreen in future (I hope so!) - but we already had more than 100 hours invested in Luke when he did that. Not that it wouldn't have been sexy anyway - but we (the fans) earned that scene! The familiarity of both scene and characters definitely helped!! I'll never think of the West Side Highway or Riverside Drive in the same way, ever again!! Never been to Wisconsin, but I've got a sudden craving for cheddar cheese! (Swiss is fine too)

I love goatees on men. But on him, it just doesn't work, somehow. That's what I miss about Gary, the scruff. I realized it the other day. That's what makes Luke Luke. And I really miss it. But I guess, if Scott had the scruff, Gary would just have been Luke's long lost cousin or something.
