does anyone know any tricks if it happens again? because I haven't been able to access for the past 3+ days or so. I've tried on chrome, safari, and on my phone but nothing helped. (Haven't tried firefox though so that might be the trick )

You can try accessing the site directly as opposed to through a link. Also, this was suggested at the Mod board, and I believe in the previous thread here.

Not that I'm aware of. The recent issues have been due to a flaw in vBulletin, which is the forum software, that causes a false reading about site safety.

Glad you sorted it out. Please note that some permissions come with time. For example, you will need 50 posts to be able to vote in the polls for adding new forums. To request a subject be added to the polls, you need to have 500 posts. More information about the Requests system is available here.

The last couple of days here on have been very hectic; Yesterday the system was so slow that I decided not to post at the detriment of the smaller threads that I post on. This morning and afternoon the system was working fine but now the system has slowed to a crawl and I am once again at a point where I have to choose between spending 20 seconds waiting for a click to process or go dormant again putting the threads that I visit in the evening hours at risk. Fan Forum has been working well for the last couple of months but things now seem chaotic. Please help speed up the system.

Glad to hear that it's working better for you now. Unfortunately there are some behind the scenes processes that do slow the site down on occasion.
