Leanne, I'm sorry you're having to do tasks (like entertaining) that don't come natural to you. I'm sure your sister appreciates it, and it's only a couple more days of wedding festivities.

Millie, your Canada Day plans sound really relaxing and fun. It's great you can see the fireworks from your place but don't have to venture into the crowd.

I am just going to relax for the 4th of July and probably go to the movies/lay by the pool.

No because I don't live in the city so there's nothing excited or interesting to do here at all. So unfortunately I can't do anything like most people now a days.

Yeah it's a rural area and no there isn't there's just dirt roads to look at and animals that's it. Basically I live in the middle of nowhere in the woods so really there's nothing to do. I don't drive because I can't do these days I just stay home and be bored

so my first day where I thought I could sleep later, I couldn't cause my nephew and a sleepover friend woke up at 5:48 am and since his bedroom is right above mine, I've been awake that early too. I guess I can't expect my nice quiet summers of the past anymore, I won't be able to sleep leisurely in!

Yeah, Lizzy, I'm thinking if I see them at the wedding, isn't that when we will be talking and catching up? If so, then I won't know what to keep talking about the next evening either plus they are moms with kids and I'm single with no kids so I'm really not interested in hearing about their mom life/kids as a topic of conversation.
Plus it will be Sunday and they keep the Sabbath Day so holy, you can't do anything like spend money to go to a restaurant or anywhere.

I'm so jealous of your pool, Lizzy! I have to sell mine after barely using it last summer.
