Pancake breakfast sounds delicious, Leanne! I hope you enjoyed that!
I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day either. Whether or not I'm in a relationship, I am not a big fan of the day. __________________

Oh we don't have 24 hours waffle places here. The earliest we can get breakfast are coffee houses. There are some smaller breakfast nooks but the major ones are at the mall and they open at 10 AM. I love pancakes though. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.
Chris, I'm glad you have fun with the hubby. V-Day can get very crowded and crazy indeed, all the restaurants were packed here last night. Lizzy, same. With or without a relationship, I just treat as any other day. Leanne, did you get a new battery for your car? I had that experience while I was at work. I had to ask a favor from my boss' driver to buy me a car battery and he changed it for me. At least I was still at work and I can ask a lot of people to help me out. __________________

Sarah - did you get your charger?
Lizzy - it's nice to have your own traditions. Ghost is a great movie. It's been a while since I've seen it. Lindsay - your breakfast restaurants don't open until 10am? Leanne - pancakes? I hope you had real maple syrup to go with them. Anybody else watch the Olympic Pairs figure skating last night? It was a pretty good competition. __________________

Chinese New Year today so we don't have work. I am just staying home this weekend because I already have an upcoming vaca coming up soon. I got 2 boxes of Nian gao today, I need to cook it.

Sarah - glad you got your new charger and your computer is working again.
Leanne - glad you got to enjoy the pancake breakfast at work Chris and Lizzy - glad you enjoyed the pairs figure skating The is my favorite part of the winter Olympics. Lindsay - wow that's so late for breakfast. The restaurants around here that only serve breakfast open at 6am. But they are all freestanding locations and not part of the mall. Our malls also don't open until 10 am but the restaurants there serve lunch and dinner. Hope you enjoyed your holiday from work and the Chinese New Year even you are not Chinese I think it would be fun to observe holidays from different cultures. Mary - glad you had a great date It's so crazy warm here already. In the 80's and the forecast looks like more of the same for the next two weeks so I guess winter is pretty much over for us |

Lizzy, thanks! Chinese New Year is just an excuse to eat more Chinese delicacies which I already love.
Amy, we also celebrate a Muslim holiday here, around November, I think, Ramadan? We have a lot of Chinese people living here. I think every Filipino here has at least 1 Chinese friend and/or relative. I need to watch more Olympics. I keep missing it. __________________

Lindsay - sounds like you have a truly multi-cultural society.

The men's competition was good too. It was unfortunate that 2 of the American men had such terrible short programmes, but at least they had terrific long programmes. Was really glad to see the Spanish skater on the podium. Amy, Sarah, Mary __________________
