I said recently how I needed to see Maya putting forth more effort since Zig has been so faithful but seeing this gif set reminds me of how at first it was obvious she was more into him (but I think he has always had an interest too). So it is interesting to see how they interact with Maya with someone else. Such a consistent history with these two; the feelings have been there since day one. The whole will they or won't they with Zaya has always been a surprise.

Ugh, that whole scene at the dance was so cringeworthy. I mean, my heart broke for the guy, when he did that awkward little wave, and Maya's just staring at him, oddly. Then he just looks so hurt.

Well, based on what I remember, she was at a school dance, and she was dancing with Miles or something. Zig is just shown glaring at them for a few minutes, then she finally turns around and notices him. He gives her an awkward little wave, and she gives a very nervous and uncomfortable wave.

Yeah, it was just a really awkward and sad moment. I mean, even if I wasn't a Zaya fan, I would still probably feel bad for poor Zig. I guess, in a sense, you can kind of feel bad for Maya, for kind of being put on the spot in front of her crush, Miles.

I actually think it did a great job of showing where things were with them at that point. But, wow was it brutal watching Zig during that scene.
