Watching it right now.. such a great episode! I always wondered if they told Jake early on about the bipolar thing because he was rather erratic in WDC..

I remember some scene in season 5 where they're at a store and I think Joey's buying condoms and it was kind of done in a lighthearted way. I imagine if Joey knew that he had already knocked up Manny then he would've been more strict about it.

But since Spike knew I think Snake would tell him if Craig didn't already? I can't see him knowing and not saying anything to Joey about it.

I think at that point the show was in "Because one of our two major broadcasters won't show the episode we're not going to acknowledge or mention the main plot no matter how painful it is (see: Emma and Manny's complete lack of involvement in Liberty's pregnancy story line) mode."

In real life I would be pretty surprised if Joey didn't know about Manny's pregnancy.

Craig was all giddy and excited about being a father at first, and he wasn't exactly keeping it secret from his friends so I could believe he told Joey before Manny officially decided on the abortion.

Now I'm thinking this episode could have used some Joey. He could relate because he had the same situation with Tessa, but I think he would have brought Craig to realize the reality of the situation and not the "big happy family" he was picturing.

It would have been a nice touch. That might have required a third episode devoted to the story line, but I don't think that would have been a bad thing.
