So Jake is the younger man in his relationship. By a year. And as of yesterday, he's now 33 instead of 32.

Cassie is a lucky girl. And smart for marrying Jake, who is also smart. Toby is too. And probably feels the same way! Dude, we need to ask Jake what he thinks Toby's political beliefs are.

A double post, but it's not every day that a Degrassian gets to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary, which was actually yesterday.


jakegoldsbie- Exactly one year ago I married the strange girl I live with. It wasn't the wedding we originally had in mind but having to marry me in the middle of a worldwide disaster is somewhat thematically appropriate. I'm excited for many more of these. Happy anniversary, Cassie. Music sounds better with you.


casssleigh- and just like that, it’s been one year. happy anniversary to my best friend. everything is better when we’re together.

I am sorry I made you double post. But hey, on the plus side Jake and Cassie don't have to worry about me stalking them cause I don't know their wedding date. I even had material! It just wasn't anything that great. Jake, Cassie, and some friends went on vacation...

I think they should bring a character like Toby back only he's completely different in some wild aspect while still having traits we identify with the character. Of course a fan would want him to have fame, success, and money. But wouldn't it be more fun for Jake to be, oh I don't know, maybe Toby just got out of prison but they never say what for.

Anyway, the caption to the first one mentions that they were packing so perhaps they're moving? The second one gives us a glimpse of the changes in their appearance over the last five years.

The plot bunny grows: Toby is an urban legend of sorts at Degrassi. He went to prison. But no one knows what for. Everyone knows about Lakehurst and JT. Did he avenge his best friend's death? Rick Murray. He haunts he halls and maybe all that angst drove Toby to drugs. Kate Kerwin made it very well known she didn't like his beard and suspected he fell into a bad crowd in university. Toby is bad guy. Duh.

Then his wicked stepsister Ashley Kerwin shows up to substitute teach music. A student finally asks after she shushes all the whispers. "No, Toby isn't a drug dealer. He did some time for some computer thing. He still has millions overseas. He's fine."

He should totally come back to the new series as a billionaire with a super babe wife. Give Toby his happy ending. Before messing it up.

Jake and Cassie give us their highlights of July, featuring the other, of course. If we were so inclined we could study these slides and wonder what each values and what they both value. Or we could just enjoy the slides without thinking because it's too goddamn hot to do that.

So about 10 days back the Yankees retired the jersey of one of their players before a game against the Blue Jays. Jake covered it through Twitter in only the way he could.
