You can take a morning after pill till 72 hours after you had sex. The sooner you take it, the more chance you have of it working. You'll get such a high dose of hormones, that it will terminate any fertility chances.
You'll have to wait a week before you can take a test, since it takes a week for an egg to settle in for pregnancy. |

Even if there isn't a PP center nearby, you can still call their toll free number: 1-800-230-PLAN and get advice. They can point you in the direction of some sort of clinic.

The people at PP told my boyfriend that the morning after pill works best within 72 hours, but you can take it up to 12 days afterwards, just that there is no guarantees. I hate waiting fo rmy period, it's so scary. That's why I made him call PP, I even get worried about then telling me I might be after I describe the situation to them. Good luck hun

I just talked to my aunt and I told her the situation and she said that I shouldn't stress and that almost every female in our family has gone through this (my mom had my brother when she was 17). She told me I need to look at birth-control pills though.

Like others have said, the Morning After Pill will work at any time during your cycle, but the sooner you take it the more likely it'll work. If you know you don't want to be pregnant at the moment, and it's not too late for it, that should be something to seriously consider. Good luck!

like i was told by the public health nurse in school during sex ed classes: you can get pregnant before, during and after your period.
for tests. not sure. i'd wait like 48 hours, but don't take my work on it. __________________

I was told that too, it all depends on the length of your cycle too.
And try not to stress too much waiting to see if your period will arrive, because the more you stress, the later your period will be. I know it's hard but believe me, i had two pregnancy scares and they're not something i would wish on anyone, the waiting and seeing is torture. __________________

Most over the counter pregnancy tests work the day of your period is supposed to start. You may barely be able to see it, but if you look hard enough, your answer should be there.
But you're probably in the clear because of when you had sex. I know your sex-ed teachers tell you you can pregnant anytime during your cycle, but for the most part 10-14 days into your cycle is the danger zone. You probably have nothing to worry about. __________________

I think that everyone here has pretty much given you solid advice. But I really don't think that it is very likely that you can get pregnant when you've just started your period, however, if you've just ended or are very near to the end of your period it's likely your egg has already been released into the uterus. I'm hoping that everything works out for the best though.

I don't want to scare you, but the pull out method is not a good way to avoid pregnancy. Pre-cum contains sperm too.

I understand no BC pills, but you could've at least bought condoms. Do not underestimate all these things. You see how worried you are now, was it really worth it? (Okay, kind of a silly question to ask, but I still don't get the no condoms idea). __________________
