My daughter is having to self-isolate for two weeks, which is massively frustrating as she was going to be fitted for braces next week after having the appointment cancelled in April. It's very disheartening.

Claire I actually enjoy working from home and teaching online, but I teach college, so I think online format is much more suited to college students.

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter's appointment is canceled. Hopefully it won't take as long to get her back in.

Yes it's my fear it will be months more of waiting.

My daughter is already stressed about her mock exams coming up, so I hope she will cope with this. She gets to go back on the first of December, assuming she doesn't develop symptoms.

Hopefully she is OK Claire. It seems like more and more schools are having co-vid cases, aside from mine there's a few around here which have had to send kids home due to cases arising.

As Claire knows I have been self isolating due to my good friend at work testing positive. I am negative, feel fine, and actually having this time off has done wonders in terms of prep. We have a video meeting tonight to discuss implications for when we reopen on Monday.

We've been doing a lot of home cooking. Made beef nachos on Wednesday which went down a treat - except I made far too many! And then yesterday I made a altered roast for my other half. He's very picky. I made pork chops, with a herb crust, stuffing (for myself), some steamed kale and broccoli and yorkshire puddings. I figure its my way of making him eat my food

Yes cases are rising rapidly around here now. I hope it improves by the end of the lockdown.

Social isolation is over now, thankfully! I'm back in work on Monday, with a lot of new measures, only 2 people per small rooms, no meetings in person etc.

Glad it is over now. My daughter has another week before she can return, just in time for her exams! Another year has a case now though, but from outside not inside the school, which is a good thing.

My son is complaining of tooth pain so we're seeing the dentist tomorrow, I might do food shopping today, as I'll be busy driving him around instead!

We had a small Thanskgiving feast at my house yesterday for our immediate family. We didn't get to invite all the folks we usually do due to this pandemic, but it was still nice to have some sense of normality.
