I think we will have to be patient on news, I think the lockdown will be extended again next week as the contact tracing app is not ready yet.

The learning support lady is really helping as much as she can.

Thanks for that, Rita!

Sorry to hear that, Leanne.

I'm finding it hard to motivate myself this morning...

Yeah not holding hope, just all depends on what Boris decides, but he's def under pressure as his gov officials keep saying to him to relax it.

I'm glad Claire, I've been in contact with some of the kids,a lot of the parents are struggling at home I wish I could do more. We are planning a group video chat with my whole class next week, which should be fun.

Well they are now saying there will be a staggered reopening of schools. Probably not before June though.

There are so many problems being caused by the shutdown. A frustrating situation!

Raining again today. Another day stuck indoors....

I think its raining today too, but I have no windows to the outdoors at work so not quite sure!

I find it hard to think we all stayed home for so long only to still start things again in public, without a vaccine still. I think it might undo everything we started?

Doing what I can to keep busy though. I ordered some resin to make jewellery, you pour it into moulds and stuff and can add colour and effects, and still finishing the diamond painting, its quite relaxing.

Without being able to go out, its hard, I needed fresh air today and couldn't as it rained all day so I basically just walked around the house LOL

What is the diamond painting of, Theresa? I just looked it up and it looks pretty nice after its done!

That looks like a good hobby to pass home time!

I'm thinking of getting a water-colour book that already has pictures on water-colour paper so I can just work on mixing and colouring than having to draw first.

Yeah, fresh air is needed when stuck indoors. If I didn't have a cat, I'd open my balcony door, but I have to just make do with opening my windows.

Its a disney one, so its like a disney princess silhouette, just doing the background now, which will take a while, and I have a marvel one after.

Excited to try the resin when it comes.

Water colour book sounds fun We could share results with our crafts

Yeah, I could take a pic. I haven't even started it yet though, I had ambitions of it more when I thought I'd be home with no job, but now its like almost normal life schedule for me!

That does look like a lot of work to do with each individual diamond to attach.

A bit bugged: I'm learning and doing genre-fying books and the coworker I have past issues with gave me print outs to read how to do it. I read it and highlighted it, basically figured out the steps myself. Then my other co-worker emailed cause I'm doing it with her too and she said she appreciates that co-worker teaching me how. I really want to correct her there to not think I can't figure it out and there is no credit to this co-worker doing anything for me. But I know its a petty thing to do that. But I just feel bugged when someone thinks its a credit to someone else I don't like for what I'm learning myself!

You're up late

Yeah it seems like normal schedule for you, same with Jon, he works in a lab so its normal hours, sometimes even longer, no chance he'll get furloughed. (be able to work from home and be paid).

It is, but I like having little activities to do to keep my mind active. I keep saying to Jon he needs little hobbies, he tends to just play games.

That would annoy me too Leanne, but its probably best to let it go, not worth bringing up

Yeah, I'm not going to say anything, just never liked how the two of them hooked up together only after I started working with the one I don't get along with. Like she decided to interfere with my relationship with the co-worker who liked me.

Yeah, I'm still at work, its like 3:30 pm and I'm waiting to be able to leave!

I have a bunch of colouring books and lots of markers and pencil crayons too, I could totally do stuff in the evening. I go into a "Zone" when I do art things and time doesn't exist!

We have to open up again Leanne, or people will starve.

My daughter's problem is of a different type. She's not been washing or getting dressed, and staying in her room all day, not working! So last night when she was about to work on an essay until 10.30pm, we said leave it, get more exercise, leave your room, and wash and dress yourself! What can the teachers do if it's not in on time, anyway!

Leanne it's not worth getting heated over:it sounds like a minor misunderstanding that's all.

Nice to do some craft stuff, Theresa!

Oh dear Claire What I find is that parents are freaking that their children aren't working, for me its more important that they are socialising with each other, playing, learning through play and doing little things to keep their minds active. It wouldn't bother me if they aren't motivated to work, but if your daughter isn't even getting changed, or leaving her room, thats not good.

Wow it was sunny for most of the day and now its hailing! This afternoon we took out a table and chairs for the garden and washed and cleaned them, so we can use them when its sunny. Washed it all, my mum and I, and then left them out to dry and now its rainy!

I hope your daughter isn't depressed, Claire, but I wouldn't doubt it, I'm thinking this change of life right now is hard for teenagers who can't go out and hang with friends or do their activities that keep them happy. It just sounds like depression cause I know that feeling. for her

Oh boy, Theresa, that feels like you wasted the cleaning to have water go all over them again.

Its sunny right now but was pretty rainy last night.

Just have to say how cute my cat is. When I get home from work, sometimes I'll want a nap so I tell him "Want to have a nap?" then when I get in bed, he comes up and quickly just cozies himself up, falls over and curls up and goes to sleep. It just seems too perfectly cute that he knows exactly how to behave.

I got news, that we get to keep being employed til summer which is good news. I have to look into if I can bump someone and replace my 7 lost hours for next year.

I hope you find a new position, Leanne.

Thanks both of you! After our talk last night we had a better day. She is washed and dressed, and more motivated. Even got her outside and doing some exercise! She does get stressed about her work at the best of times, this change is not helping. Still she may get back to school before September. My son probably won't though...

I went to the shop, and I managed to get plain flour! My husband was so impressed he played the mission impossible music! I did have to grab one of the last bags at the back of the shelf though!

Nice to get little jobs like that done, Theresa.
