Bad Blood is one of the greatest episodes ever. I feel the show really dipped in quality after Season 5.

The writers did a very good job of not allowing the first film to affect the quality of the show.

Very true I give them props for having it flow so well together, from Season 5, movie, to season 6.

It was annoying for me though because in England the film came out before the BBC showed season 5, so a lot of it was really confusing to see out of order

The BBC was about a year behind the US showings. I think the popularity really dipped towards the end in the UK.

Bad Blood one of the best episodes of the series in my opinion. The writing was superb. Glad to see others feel it was an amazing episode. Another great episode from s5 is Emily. I don't care who you are, that episode made everyone tear up.

That would be hard being behind the US since most of us here like to blab about the shows and end up spoiling it for everyone else.

I remember that the first 3/4 seasons were really huge over here ( and the film did well too), but after that the BBC kept moving the episodes to really late at night and the ratings dipped a lot

I wasn't on the internet when the X Files was airing, so I was never in on-line fandom for it. It's weird to remember a time when we couldn't just keep up with shows on the internet though

Season 9 had a good time slot if I remember. Something like 10:45 on a Sunday night so not too late.

That would have been too late for me, I was still having to go to bed at 10.30pm for school back then

I honestly can not remember the time slot it was on. I watched actively up until season 8 then was playing catch up the last two seasons.

Fair enough. I remember after they showed the final run, they did show the first couple of seasons very late on a Friday night on BBC 2.

Oh that is completely understandable then I would've been so confused and frustrated.
