You girls mentioned my recap proposal? Glad you liked it! Any wedding vows just wouldn't be the same if it was done with their first names. Fox and Dana... hmmm... Mulder and Scully... I'm gonna have to go with what I'm more used to.

Meanwhile, it's been too long since I've posted my thoughts on season 5 (and I should really hurry up finishing it lest I get behind on the viewing parties in the other M/S thread!) I've watched a bunch of season 5 episodes and my thoughts one the first batch I saw are as follows:

1) The return of Modell!?! But he was supposed to be in some kind of unsurvivable coma! And there's a woman who shares his powers? I know they explained it at the end but it just seems so odd that they would uncover all these little details they missed in Pusher. Surely the fact that he was adopted would've been mentioned in the first part. Oh well. That's a sequel for you, and I'm just nitpicking since this episode, Kitsunegari, was pretty good. Almost as good as the first one. Best part, of course, was when Mulder got really angry that "Scully" shot herself thanks to Pusher's sister. The anger/angst was awesome. He really does care.

2) Killer trees? No wait, vengeful nature controlling spirit? No wait... okay, I'm not sure what this episode's monster-of-the-week is. I did like Mulder's little flirty comment when he was climbing that tree, "Hey, Scully, is this demonstration of boyish agility turning you on at all?" Heh. I guess it's a good thing Mulder and Scully don't have kids (William) 'cuz he wouldn't be able to handle a broody teenager. Schizogeny

3) I loved Chinga! It's basically Chuckie-condensed: killer doll, freaky kid, worried mother etc, etc. And because weirdness always seems to follow Scully even when she's trying to relax, she ends up helping local P.D try and figure out what's going on. Mulder's first phone call to her was cute; he wanted to share an X-Files with her but you all know he was totally missing her. When she called Mulder to get some paranormal advice, I love her spouting off all these supernatural possibilities, and how he's in awe and asks her to marry him! BTW, I also love how she hangs up on him after every call he makes to her - that's for the Bambi escapades, Mulder! Yeah, you thought I forgot didn't ya'? The last scene = hilarity! Mulder trying to say he did alot without Scully "bothering" him (he was bothering her) and then the pencils falling on him - best scene of the entire episode.

4) Twilight Time is now forever linked to Mulder/Scully car time. The Lone Gunmen drooling over that internet chick was funny and Mulder and Scully trying to avoid the kill switch was an effort in futility. Mulder's visions of sexy nurses trying to cut off his arms and legs screams "Freudian analysis'. Best part of his vision of course is kick-ass Scully. I bet that's how he sees her: the heroic little bundle of awesomeness that comes to save him in the nick of time. Way better than any blonde bimbo. His relief was short lived and it was so sad how he kept calling out for Scully's help. I liked how in the end, that internet couple will live forever in cyber space but it sucks that our FBI agents still can't get a clue on their own feelings. (Kill Switch)

I got the first movie for my b-day and I was watching it, AWWWWWW God, each time I watch that movie they get more and more adorable I hadn't seen the movie in a while so I had forgotten some stuff, the mouth to mouth aw soooooo cute when she starts breathing again and says "I had you big time", they smile, aww God and of course, THE scene, aw, while their getting closer to each, it seems to take forever, my shipper races every time I see it, and the moment you say "aw that's it!" bam, that stupid bee, AHHHHHHH

I loved Chinga! It's so sweet that Mulder keeps bugging her, but she can't resist talking to him

The part in Kitsunegari where 'Scully' shoots herself was so sad, Mulder reaction was heartbreaking

Slightly OT, but did anyone else notice the pencils stuck in the ceiling of Mulders bedroom in All Things? It was when Mulder was calling Scully when he was packing to go away and she's on loudspeaker. Or at least I think they were pencils!

I was watching The End in season 5 and (yeah, back to the name thing ) noticed Mulder called Scully 'Dana' infront of Diana Fowley after they had met the boy and they were going to test him and stuff ("you know what to do Dana") and I thought maybe it's to show Fowley that they aren't that close, but then I thought that all the agents refer to each other by surname so by calling her Dana he was showing they were close...

I love The End, poor Scully, she's all jealous and upset about the other woman

I was watching One Breath just now, and in the beginning Mulder is alone in the dark in his apartment watching some movie with a sex scene in it. He rewinds part of it to rewatch a part of it in which a woman in the scene says, "We should stop". There is plenty of heavy breathing going on so I know it must be a sex scene. I swear that they were implying that Mulder was imagining that that was him and Scully. Especially given that the woman said they should stop, like it was a taboo relationship. HEHE! I'm not big on guys watching porn but it is awfully sweet that it seems he is thinking about Scully while watching it.

I never noticed that he was watching something like that in One Breath before, so forgive me if everyone has already noticed this.

Oh it was Red Shoe Diaries, I saw that series a long time ago. I need to get my S2 DVDs out and watch that eppy with the commentary.

BTW-I wasn't trying to imply earlier that guys and/or girls who watch porn are bad for doing it. So I apologize if anyone was upset when I said I wasn't a big fan of guys watching it. I actually find it quite funny that Mulder keeps joking about his porn.
