^All my friends were like "eeeeeew!! You like an old man!!" They see what I see now though
Hmmm... maybe it was one of them saying about the other going "all Scully" on them? Maybe I heard it in Buffy... Ah, so the kiss was like a 'Triangle' kiss... Get them close but not by their choice so they can't ruin the will they/won't they thing. Though, I did see the episode where they had to look after the baby... Brennan looked cute and awkward with the baby I'm watching Momento Mori right now __________________

I gotta say, I started watching partly because of BB too people kept comparing them to MS and I was so curious, cause I looooooooove BB so much, and I thought wow whoever they are alike MUST be all kinds of awesome! And I'm with Aine, first and foremost interested in the shippiness Then one day my friend's brother and her were talking about how you losten to a tiny bit of a song and you already know which tv show it is from and he said "oh, like The X-Files, tan tan tan tan tan tan" and I was like what? And he said "what, you DON'T know the X-Files?? Mulder and Scully????" and I felt like an ET so when I got back home I HAD to rent it At first I thought I would not like it at all, because of the alien stuff, it's never been my kind of thing, you know, but man wasn't I surprised I fell in love with them at first sight and what made me love the show itself it's how much it scares me I mean, how often can fiction REALLY scare you?? It has to be VERYYYYYYYY good __________________

Michelle Dessler, funny that you also started watching because of BB.
I remember that my dad used to watch the X-Files when I was a kid and I always ran away from the tv because I thought the theme song and the face in the opening that looks like "The Scream" were so scary. Quote:

You *should* post more often; I love your silly/sleepy sheep icon! Meanwhile, I finally have my comments on the awesomeness of Bad Blood and the episodes following it (my viewing batch this time went from really god to pretty bad. Wow.) 1) Bad Blood is Gillian Anderson approved and now I know why! This episode was fan-freaking-tastic! Seeing these two from each others' eyes was the best thing EVER. From Scully's version with Hyperactive Obnoxious Mulder: "Come on, Scully Get those little legs moving!" to Mulder's version of Bitchy PMS Scully: "What do you mean you want me to do another autopsy?! And why do I have to do it right now?! I just spent hours on my feet doing an autopsy, all for you!", there are just too many funny moments and lines in this episode to summarize so I'll just say I LOVE this episode. It's definitely the funniest of season 5, and I feel certain saying that even though I haven't finished season 5. 2) Oh come on! Krycek the One-Armed-Killer Rat is back!? And he seems to know an awful lot about the strange alien abductee killings/burnings. Plus there's Marita Bandita () on the scene ready to do some cover-ups and all that jazz. It's too much for me to handle so I'll go on to Mulder and Scully. Wait... he's not a believer anymore? Nooo! Alot of different episde call backs in this one: Duane Barry (that's how Cassandra, a nice looking old lady abductee knows Mulder; from his hostage thing with that guy), Tunguska (a poor Russian kid gets beaten up and exposed to the Back cancer by Krycek the Ratty-RatFaced-RatBastard who, did I mention, is a Rat? Good.), and Ascension (one of the places where many abductees gathered to wait for... something. Apparently the chips on their neck give them the urge to gather at alien hot spots, like spawning salmon.) We also meet an FBI named Jeffrey Spender who is the son of Cassandra and wants our favorite pair to leave his mom alone. Mulder is fine with that, not caring about Cassandra's tales of alien encounters but Scully finds herself drawn to her and even tries to get Mulder to return to his alien-believeing ways. This is even worse than the Beyond the Sea switcheroo! (Does that also count as a call back?) One of the most horrifying scenes was not all the people being burned nor the Russian boy oozing the black cancer: it was seeing Marita and Rat Boy make-out! Why is she with the Rat!? AAUUGH! In the end, Marita in Heat-a gets attacked by the Russian boy with the Black Cancer and Scully and Cassandra go to some bridge to await a UFO along with several dozen other abductees. The guy who's been burning abductees is also there. (Patient X) 3) A man in a snowy cabin sends a letter to his son at the FBI. Mulder and Skinner have gotten to the place where the recent burnings occured, with Scully being one of the survivors. I love how happy Mulder looks to see Scully alive and well, him stroking her hair and his understanding tone when Scully couldn't remember what happened is just sweetness. Meanwhile Marita, Marita, Caviar "Eata" is looking pretty bad in the secret covert military hospital. How can she survive being exposed to so much Black Cancer? Apparently the Secret covert government, now lead by the British old guy known as Well-Manicured Man, find out that rebel aliens crashed onto their planet and there's an intergalactic war a brewin'. We finally see what happened to Scully, Cassandra and the other abductees via hypnosis to Scully. Mulder is there to hold her hand and look skeptical, while Scully "Oh my God"s about ten times and describes a space ship they all saw, which abducted Cassandra. It's only fitting that the most horrifying scene in this episode has to do with Ratboy. No mytharc is complete without Mulder and the Ratty nemesis meeting, with Mulder being told about he whole intergalactic war thing... then before leaving, Krycek the Death-Defying-Wonder Rat freakin' KISSES Mulder!!! And this is why there's 5,000 Mulder/Krycek slash fics out there today - at least. Geez, Ratboy is kissing everybody in this two part mytharc. If he goes near Scully, I will throw rat poison at my screen! In the end, Mulder and Scully seem to be back to their respective roles when Scully gets a visit from Skeptical Spender and when Mulder witnesses an Alien Bounty Hunter/Rebel Alien showdown, followed by a bright light which wipes his memory clean. Mulder probably doesn't know what to believe if his tears are any indication. Also, if anyone cares, Marita has been cured thanks to vaccine made by the Russians, Spender's mom's disappearance has become an X-File, and it turns out Spender is the son who was to get the letter sent out in the first scene but he returned it unopened to his no good dad who is revealed to be... CSM?! Holy Crap, he's alive! And he's living in Canada? Of course... the last place you'd expect evil to lurk. The Red and The Black 4) My interest in this episode was directly proportional to the amount of screen time Scully got. It was totally unnecessary and wholly forgettable. Not even the little bit of Flashback Mulder could save this for me because first of all, the issue of no Scully to interact with him and second of all, Flashback Mulder seemed a bit out of character - at one point he was smoking and I read somewhere that he wears a wedding band in this episode. I won't even give this a repeat viewing to double check the ring thing. (Travelers) 5) Anything with Mulder and Scully in it already scores highly after the last episode. Even so, this episode wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The blind girl in Mind's Eye seemed more bitchy than independent and comparing Scully to her didn't earn Mulder any brownie points from me, even if it might explain why he was so devoted to helping the blind chick. Really devoted. He was holding her hand and everything. At least she killed the guy who's been causing her to have the awful visions. That's something. I wonder how well her sarcasm will go in a woman's prison... __________________

You got to Bad Blood. Did you catch the goof with the hand appearing onscreen?
You missed the ring in Travelers? It's hillarious cause it's so obvious, but yeah boring episode. I like The Unnatural Arthur Dales way more than the one in Travelers . I felt so bad for the girl in Mind's Eye, but yeah not a very interesting ep. Great recaps Hestia . __________________

Oh you got to love Bad Blood. Even though I haven't seen every episode, I have to agree with Gilly that it is my favorite eppy. I love the teaser and then seeing both of their perspectives on each other is hilarious.
I did a couple "What X-Files episode are you?" quizzes on Quizilla the other day and almost every one of them said I was the episode Bad Blood. One said I was the episode How the Ghosts Stole Christmas, which happens to be my second favorite episode. __________________

OK, may I intersect for a second? I remember us discussing that scene where Mulder meets William for the first time...... I just re-watched that epi the other day. I remember some of us speculating whether William was named after Mulder's dad, or Scully's dad, whose names were both William, it appears. However, I was surprised to hear that Scully clearly tells Mulder that she named William after his ('your') father..... I found that interesting as it was done less ambiguous as they could have done it.
