Well if you saw the previews for next week's episode you know that Jack has appendicitis, so it did come out of the blue.

My Sawyer prince charming to the rescue  those scenes with Claire just so sweet. "Are you alright sweetheart?" very sweet of him to say that. I also love how protective he is with Hurley. :D Oh i love you Sawyer i need alot more of his i've missed his cheesy awesome one-liners.
Yes, Loved Sawyer in this episode and I want a lot more of his "cheesy awesome one-liners" too. :)

I felt bad for Ben, seeing his daughter killed in front of him like that was not nice. I was a little confused about how Ben got from the island to London in that time he wasn't at the island. I'm wondering if when he went through the wall-door is when he went to London but i'm still not sure how he got to two places at once.
Yes I felt for Ben also. We also finally understand how Alex was his daughter and not his daughter.

I think there is some sort of electro-magnetic portal/connection between various locations on the earth. The island for one. North pole. I guess in Tunisia ( that's probably how the polar bear got there that Charlotte went to investigate ). That's probably how they got polars bears on the island to begin with. Maybe there'll be some sort of connection to the Devil's Triangle in the Caribbean.

I've been wondering for some time if this island is associated with the lost continent of Lemuria (Mu) in some way.

Well the obvious answer is because they were playing Risk. If your strategy is to hold a well protected area and build up forces to take over the world then it's good to start off with Australia.

It definitely has more meaning than just the game Risk. Seeing as how 815 started out in Australia, that place has a lot of meaning to the show. Also, some people on Lostpedia noted that in the scene with Widmore and Ben his accent sounded Australian rather than English. I think that point might come up later and given that Hurley (one of the O6) said it, I think it might even be a clue as to how the O6 is going to get back to the Island, starting in Australia again. There are almost no throw away lines in Lost.

The Penny/Widmore and Ben/Alex situation is interesting. If Widmore did "change the rules", I don't think he saw it that way because Ben stole Alex and she's not really his daughter the way Penny is. I wonder if the rules involved not hurting family. Also, since Widmore said that Ben took the Island from him, I wonder if Widmore has ever been to the Island and if he managed to escape or if Ben just blocked him from returning after he took over.

I  the Claire/Sawyer/Hurley interaction and how Sawyer kept wanting to give up Ben, and how Hurley wouldn't let them keep Sawyer and Claire out. They all really take care of each other and I hate that Locke has decided that everyone is expendable in his quest to find the Island's secrets.

Btw, Hurley's the only one who can find Jacob's Cabin because he was the last to see it. Ben can't hear or see him anymore, and Locke couldn't find the cabin before but Hurley did.

I think Jack's illness is more than appendicitis. I wonder if it has to do with the illness that messed up Rousseau's people and the vaccine.

And I think Ben ending up in Tunisia with the parka is related to the polar bear that Charlotte found in Tunisia and the "box" that Ben told Locke can transport things to and from the Island. I think he had on the parka because the Artic might be an interim point. He also looked jolted by the temperature. He seemed to be shivering.

It was a great ep and I want more Smokey!

Hence why I didn't OMGOMGMOG!DIE over The Constant.
Kiiiiinda boring.

I'm just rooting for Desmond, and Desmond alone, lol. :)

That's how I feel about Jack

BTW: Why did Ben have them go to the treeline? Wouldn't it have been better to stay in the house until after Smokey was done

I think Widmore is/was associated with the Dharma Initiative. Ben is responsible for the Dharma Initiative losing control of the island.

Hopefully we'll find out a little more about "Smokey".

OMG! :jaw_drop:

I didn't think they'd actually kill Alex. I'm shocked. And sad..

Oncer4Ever 04-25-2008 01:48 PM

Last night was...whoa!!!!!

Holy hell!!!

:jaw_drop:

So much happened I don't know where to start.

Well, there's the whole attack at the Locke's camp. Man, these guys weren't playing. They really did make the Others look like tree hugging hippies. :gone:

Sawyer was awesome!:clap:He was so worried about Claire and Hurley, being all big brother. :in_love: Although, when Claire called out to Charlie, it broke my heart.:broken_heart: But she was alive maybe Charlie is her guardian angel now. Even in death he's still protecting his family.

And finally, Ben. So that's why Ben wants Widmore's people dead. They killed Alex. It was just sad. They just shot her in the head without a second thought, like she was nothing. For the first time since I've known Ben, I honestly and truely felt sorry for him. :( I heard a few people calling him heart-less because he was calling their bluff, but he cried. The man was crying over the lost of his daughter!!! :bawl:

I still don't trust Ben, but he's a choir boy compared to Widmore. :good_bad: So if Ben wants so kill the old fart or make his life a living hell, I say go for it. The only thing I wish is that he doesn't kill Penny, because Widmore and Desmond will both kill him for that. :thud:

I think Widmore's voice sounded not so English is because he isn't English in real life.. =P

Anyways.

Lol...
You sure about that?
Cuz you shouldn't be, lol.
Last I checked New Zealanders weren't from England.

But I know he covered it up for The OC to the best of his ability.
I was glad to hear it more pronounced on Lost, though.
[ edit ] because it sounds so much like an aussie's accent, mmm. <3

But I think the note was more of, if he's an accomplished actor who's managed to do both American and English accents, there must be a reason he's letting the Aussie/New Zealand slip out now. He's never done it before.

allybubba 04-25-2008 09:07 PM

I found it always slipped out on The OC (as I said he did it to the best of his ability) and also on ER, but that was a friggin' long time ago so I can't remember how he spoke.

When he was talking to Desmond in the car, in the washroom?
I heard it the same I did last night.. so.. I dunno where you're going with it, lol.

THIS EPISODE WAS FRAKKING AWESOME....AWESOME....AWESOME. :thud:

-Alex! I can't believe they killed her off! And Ben...mindfrakking ain't work to your advantage that time, dude. Oh, and summoning smokey was so kickass!

-Hero!Sawyer was nothing short of fantastic. My boy made me so proud.

-Sayid actually offering his services to Ben. Jesus. He fell right into that one, didn't he? Hook, line and sinker! And poor Nadia!

-Ben/Widmore confrontation. One of the best scenes of the night! Charles wants the island. Ben wants to kill Penny. I believe all roads lead to Desmond.

-Jack is surprised the freighties aren't there to rescue them. Uh, Danny boy made that known seven episodes ago. :look:

-Locke is...so-so. He hasn't regained his awesomeness yet this season. I'm still waiting.

-Kate is annoying. She's on a steady destination to useless character heaven.

-Bernard suddenly knows Morse Code. Okie dokie.

-BEN IS DA MAN. That badassery stunt he pulled on those Tunisian dudes in the beginning had me oh so very alive. I love him.

My favorite line: "I never should've followed you two wackos." :lmao: Oh, Sawyer, how right you are. LOL!

sum1 04-25-2008 11:50 PM

They killed Alex? I'm done with this crappy show. They flog useless boring characters while killing off good ones. I hope all the remaining characters die roaring. But I won't be watching.
