The story part of the episode was awesome.. but I didn't really get the whole Sawyer loving off Claire from absolutely nowhere.

i dont think sawyer loves claire by any means, but i do love it when he cares about people and shows it.
he doesnt do that for many.
i also feel like he feels like he needs to be there for claire because charlie is dead and therefore cant be there with her like he always was.

Loving off just means like, lol..

But I dunno.. I guess the next few episodes will tell, won't they?

Well even though I'm a S/C shipper, I don't think it was about Sawyer just loving Claire. Especially with how insanely protective he was of Hurley too. I think it was just to show that hey... these people are his family now, he chose them, he chose the island... and since he made that decision, he will let nothing take them away from him.

Sawyer totally kicked ass in this episode. I love how protection he was with Claire and Hurley. I'm starting to like Ben more and more. I love how he got when people started "changing the rules."

Hi there. I'm new here but I really want to put an idea out there about two things. First, what did Hurley mean "Australia is the key to the whole game". The other thing is I was wondering when Ben said he changed the rules if he thought Alex couldn't be killed because she's his constant. Now he's going after Desmond's constant. What say you?

I just assumed he went after Penny to even things out, one daughter for the other. But your idea certaintly brings a whole new twist to the table. I like it and I think it's highly possible.

Locke, Sawyer and Hurley were playing Risk. A lot of people try to have Australia in the game, because you get bonus points for it and it's hard to capture it from somewhere else.


As for the episode... ack! On the one hand, i don't want Ben to get Penny, because I want to see Desmond/Penny reunite. On the other, I don't want Widmore to get to the island.

Loved Sawyer, Locke and Hurley playing Risk :D And Sawyer protecting Hurley and Claire. Hated to see Team Locke split up, though :[ Though, yay, going to find Jacob!

Well the obvious answer is because they were playing Risk. If your strategy is to hold a well protected area and build up forces to take over the world then it's good to start off with Australia.

What is up with Jack? did i miss something or is this out of the blue sickness that he has?. What is going on with Jack why is he sick all of a sudden?.

My Sawyer prince charming to the rescue :love: those scenes with Claire just so sweet. "Are you alright sweetheart?" very sweet of him to say that. I also love how protective he is with Hurley. :D Oh i love you Sawyer i need alot more of his i've missed his cheesy awesome one-liners.

I felt bad for Ben, seeing his daughter killed in front of him like that was not nice. I was a little confused about how Ben got from the island to London in that time he wasn't at the island. I'm wondering if when he went through the wall-door is when he went to London but i'm still not sure how he got to two places at once.

Ohhhh, I am SO glad that we're getting ConMama! This episode was brilliant in every conceivable way, and I think the writers are definitely setting things up for Sawyer and Claire's friendship, at least.

I kind of think that Sawyer's gonna take Charlie's place... the foreshadowing of her calling him, "Charlie," etc.

He was just awesome in this eppy and I LOVED when he called her, "Sweetheart"!
