sun had to say that jin died on the island, obveously he had to be alive to get her pregnet. so that totally doesn't explain the tombstone.

I want to know about the tombstone. I think Jin really does die on the island, but with their story like it is, she can't say that he died 3 months after the crash. Maybe they just have to say that he died on Sept. 22. and thats the tombstone that his family or whoever put when they all thought everybody died.
They zoomed in on the Chinese letter/symbols. Can anybody decipher what it says around here? __________________

September 22, 2004 was the date the plane crashed. So must be those who die on the island will just be listed as dying on the crash.
that baby was SOOOO cute! i dont think we have seen the last of Jin on the Island in any way, but I do know I will be a little prepared for it now when it happens. and not being the biggest michael fan in the world(darn him for shooting Ana (and Libby)) but I am intrigued to see how they handle him being seen, especially by Sayid. __________________

I think Jin is dead. The one thing that the writers of Lost are pretty definitive about is that when they tell us someone is dead, they tend to be dead. Now that doesn't mean we never see these characters again (i.e. Charlie) but they are dead.
I'm holding out hope that Claire is still on the island for two reasons: Desmond said she gets off the island, and the writers have never definitively said she's dead. I think Jin's tombstone says Sept. 22, 2004 because the O6 can always say, he died on the island but we were disoriented so we didn't know the day. And given that Sun conceived fairly early into her time on the island (it's not like she got pregnant 3 mos later) she could always say she was pregnant before she got on the plane and didn't know it yet. I think the incorporation of the flashback/flashforward in one ep was well-done. I didn't pick up on it until the end but I did notice that Jin's phone was huge and bulky so that definitely was a clue. I knew Michael was the "man on the boat". I kind of wish they hadn't drawn it out because I think most people had it figured out but just needed it confirmed. I can't wait for the "Meet Kevin Johnson" episode. That girl jumping into the ocean was crazy. So much interesting stuff is happening on the frieghter. I don't know if I believe Widmore's story or Ben's story. Frankly, I don't trust either man. Finally, on Juliet: I love her. I think she has balls. She knows she's not the most trustworthy but she's watched too many women on the island die and she's not going to let it happen again. I loved that she was willing to let Sun's secret out to save her life. I thought it was great. Crystaline I understand that you're frustrated not seeing Sawyer but I'm frustrated with not seeing Rose and Bernard, or seconds of Claire. The problem with such a large ensemble is that some people go missing because there's so much story to tell but missing Sawyer for two eps is nothing to me, compared with missing other for 4 or 5 episodes in a row. and hopefully they'll be some Claire time next week. Her face was in the promo so that's a good sign, right? __________________

Good episode.
Juliet may have lied about a lot of things and I can see why Sun doesn't trust her all that much. But we've seen Juliet lose so many pregnant women and you don't lie about something that sad. It was out of line that Juliet told about Sun's affair but it was the only way to get her to stay. Juliet really cares what happens to Sun and her baby. I also liked the scene between Jin and Bernard. They had a heart to heart about marriage and karma. Yeah, Sun cheated on him but Jin isn't all that innocent either. They've all done things their not proud of. Locke thinks he's in control but it's Ben. Locke's brain is play-dough and Ben molds it to his advantage. Man, everyone on that freighter is going nuts. That woman who jumped overboard with that anchor and drowned and no one bothered to help. What the hell? Also when Sayid and Desmond met "Kevin Johnson". I mean, who didn't see that it was Michael? I wonder what's his story. |

Who else would have killed Juliette with their bare hands during that scene? *raises hands* I know I would.

Pretty good episode! I hope Jin is alive somewhere, I love him. Were we supposed to be shocked that it was Michael?

great episode.
so sad, its not fair jin has to die! well i hope he doesn't and of course everyone knew about michael but it was nice to finally see him. can't wait to hear his story. i was mad at juliet for telling jin about sun's afair but hey she got smacked and she did what she had to do. that woman jumping off the ship was pretty random but yeah everyone's going crazy on that ship anyway. and yeah, i missed sawyer too, and hugo though he appeared at the end of the episode. but looks like next week we'll get to see them. __________________

Ok very strange episode . I have to look up the Lost # again and freeze the DVR pic I am almost sure the # are the same.
there where several dates on the gravestone on was 2003 one was 1998 . Now somebody dies next week ? Is it Jin ? Juliet? Michael about F ********n time . i expected him in episode 1 . Now next week we have to see why Michael is on the boat etc. the woman who jumped off the boat, in chains, is a stunt woman/actress , I saw her in Death Proof /Planet Terror movies Zoe Bell . The weird part of the whole Jin and Sun thing was jin running around to get a panda bear and all the time we are thinking it is for his baby. So it was more of flashback and future flash all in one. When he said he had been married only two months my jaw dropped saying WTF, this is the past pre Island . Edit I took a photo of the screen shot of the gravestone not the Lost # but 3 dates on it. and will post it in a few have to clear up the pic. __________________

I really loved this episode. Jin and Sun have always been some of my favorites, and this whole flashback/flash forward had me reeling. I completely cried when Sun was at Jin's grave showing him Ji Yeon... it was heartbreaking to watch.
My question is: Is Jin really dead, as the gravestone says OR is he still on the island, since only 6 got off and there has to be some reason why they are all lying about being the only survivors? I don't want Jin to be dead. I love Jin, but if he is, I'm looking forward to seeing how they do this. But part of me hopes that Jin's really still on the island. |

If Jin ISN'T dead.. Sun doesn't know.
There's NO way she'd cry like that if she knew he was alive.. at least I just can't see that happening. She could be sad about him not seeing the baby.. but to do all that to have him alive.. and her know it? I dunno.. And thank goodness I wasn't going throughout the whole episode thinking it was a flashforward, lol.. as soon as he said 'it's the year of the dragon' I was like LIES! & found out it was in 2000 last, sooo.. __________________

ok here is screen shot not great from my cell phone but i have the three dates on the grave
first date 3/20/1980 2nd date 11/27/1974 I assume Date of birth Date of death is 09/22/2004 the last date on the grave jin has to be dead ,remember he said i will do everything in my power to protect you and the baby also Ben has told Jack the Red sox won the world series that was in October of 2004 . So the date of death doesn't add up . Jin is alive in late 2004 . Jack was told last season the Red sox won the World Series ..... so something isnt right __________________
