Mark isn't an good enough writer for that, since no one can like couples like those two work past the HS years. They were both like Ted/Robin who had no long comparability. which the finale didn't change.

I refuse to compare them to Ted/Robin since that one was hot mess.. Plus Ted was all over the place unlike Jake..

Jeyton and Brucas were like Ted/Robin in the fact they would have only worked in the HS years, whereas Ted/Robin only worked as an mid 20's relationship and sucked at any other time in life. Can't see Jake working with Adult Peyton and that's the same with Adult Brooke & Lucas.

You don't think Ted and Robin were meant to be? Still would have wanted Jake to be an regular and would have no issues erasing Jeyton to make that happen lol.

Honestly, no, they just meant to be friends since Robin isn't in love w/ Ted while I felt that Ted always have the idea on to be in love, but he doesn't have that bec he just have highest expectation of that.. Not sure if that made sense.. Even tho I'm sure that Mark would do that.. :lol;

They made sense in S2, but by S9 they clearly weren't meant to be together since Robin hadn't been in love with the guy in years and Ted kept saying he would let her go and then he would take it back lol. For Jake/Bryan to have been an main character, they would have had to have done in S1 or the start of S2.

I was rooting for Barney/Robin and Ted/Tracy and Ted/Robin made for much better friends, just like Brooke/Lucas and Jake/Peyton lol.

That's interesting bec I like Ted/Robin romantically until S4 or S5, I stop ship them..

They were okay for the first couple of seasons, but the writers just spend way too much time showing how they weren't meant to be for me to buy that ending.
