A History of Violence - Release 2005
Adapted by Josh Olson from John Wagner and Vince Locke's graphic novel of the same name, A History of Violence tells the story of an ordinary family's life after the father receives unwanted national attention for a seemingly vigilante-style self-defense killing at his diner.
This movie is directed by Canadian David Cronenburg (which explains why it's filmed here in my town) and stars Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, William Hurt and Maria Bello. So far, they have filmed in Pottegaville (sp?), Millbrook and Tottenham. They will film in the studio from here on out. I saw the filming down in Tottenham. |

I know that Viggo had to have a certain look for each of the movies he's done up to this point....Does anybody have an idea what kind of look he'll be going for with this picture? Will he have long hair, short hair, messy hair...will he have prim and proper hair...will he be like a blue collar worker type, yuppy type...From what I know of the story, I just know it's about a guy who has lived a secret life of sorts. I've not read the book (but would like to) so I'm not aware of the slight nuances there are to the story. I'm sure Viggo will have some artistic license as to how he'll play this guy, so it will be interesting to see how this will look when it's finished. From what i've heard it has a very bloody ending which involves Mafia kinda thing of violence. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

Well, I guess it would be cheating since I have seen him already. He's going to be blue collar. Very nicely trimmed hair, clean shaven - he wore a plaid shirt with tight jeans on the set of Millbrook.
