Not everyone liked Paire though.

Only the majority of the fans... and then some of them left the ship when they found out that Peter is her uncle. I found that a bit odd, because when you start shipping a couple on a show, you don't jut quit on it, because something in the plot changed.

^ Well I can't criticize because I understand it. Some people just can't ship pairings who are related to each other. So I can't fault those fans for really doing that........
I have stopped shipping pairings I once shipped so I do know how to hit the switch if there is something about a ship I no longer like. lol Couldn't do that with Paire though.

Also, I think some people knew Paire were doomed after that so gave up by default.

I just was more UPSET because I feel the Paire fans got lead on from Heroes.
I find it pathetic that fans didn't find out UNTIL 65.2% into the series that Peter was her Uncle. The reveal of Nathan as her father lead to nothing, and was more of a upsetting reveal than a shocking one.

So, basically what happened was 65.2% of season 1, ALL the Paire fanbase were lead on because of what THEY themselves wrote. Romantic music when they met, quotes, how they couldn't stay away from each other. Peter talking about Claire after he is falling to his death. How Claire wanted to go to New York with him... I don't get how logical it is for the Heroes creative team (especially TK) to NOT think fans would ship it.

So, that upset me.
But in general, all fans can like what they want since a lot of us do not ship the same and sadly with Paire, some people were forced to leave the ship or people just decided to quit the show... and a lot also sticked with the ship....

I still think that their scene at the end of season 1 was one of the most powerful ones in the show.

That was the scene that had me agonizing over season two.

I kept waiting and waiting for Peter and Claire to reunite, but they had no scenes together at all, dammit!

That moron Kring didn't put them in a scene together until September of 2008.
