I didn't mean to disillusion anyone when I posted before and I apologize if I did so. Even though it doesn't say so in the title, this is probably an appreciation thread and I should keep my negativity out of it.

I'll never forget that stupid memo that went around the whole building because of Craig and his stupid basketball hoop. And the only person who really needed to read, Craig, never saw it

I have no idea what you're talking about with the le basketball hoop memo, I've never even seen Craig! (Stupid Aussie programmers!) And yet, I'm fascinated, can someone explain to me the significance?

There is a basketball hoop on the roof of the CBS building (TVC). I don't know how it got there, but it's Craig's hoop. No one is allowed to play except Craig and his son. But as it happens, the hoop is on top of and next to the section where the executive offices are (Les Moonves and the like). The execs sent a memo to everyone in the building requesting that no one use the hoop during business hours because it's disruptive to the workforce. We all thought it was really funny because Craig's the only one who used it and everyone knows that. Our copy of the memo was posted in the break room on the bulletain board. Craig never reads the board, so the only people who needed to read the memo, never did He kept playing basketball and the execs kept getting annoyed Of course now that he's gone, perhaps everybody else will have a chance to play!

This is why memos are such a waste of time. You want someone to respond a certain way, just come right out and tell em'!

Thanx for explaining that Jen!

LOL, yeah, I'd love to have seen Les Moonves take Craig to task for the basketball hoop -- that would've been great
