HDTV is a new TV standard like PAL (europe), Secam (france) or NTSC (usa). it means HighDefinitionTV. the quality is just so much better. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]
okay, let's get through the screencap-making process step by step: (1) are those .mpeg or .avi files you have? (2) do you have PowerDVD installed? __________________

It's .avi and yes, I do have Power DVD.

click right on the .avi file and choose "öffnen mit" instead of just "öffnen". then select PowerDVD. the .avi should play now. in the control pannel under the timer, there's a little task bar - the second icon on the left should be a little "camera". now open your graphic programm - I don't know which one you have, but that's not really important since they all work the same way. okay - then click on the camera (you might have to click twice or hold the click a little longer PowerDVD is a bit cranky sometimes) - then go to your graphic programm and choose "Datei > Einfügen > Neu aus Zwischenablage". then you should have the cap in your graphic programm and all you need to do is save it as .jpg. I almost got it, but my graphic program is adobe 3.1 and it said it didn't know the image ending or something. I guess I will need another program???

No, once I open adobe it says "Konnte die Zwischenlage importieren, da Adobe PhotoDeluxe die dateierweiterung nicht kennt"

okay, that's a problem... do you have another graphic programm? if not go to http://www.jasc.com and download Paint Shop Pro (PSP). it's a trial version which means it's free for one month to use. it should work with that! [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]
