Yep that would be a great title. I loved Bryan talking about his closeness with Hilarie; I don't care what Schwahn says, I can't imagine she would have been happy about Jake being fazed out and ignored like that.

Plus, she has talked in the last few years about how she thought brucas & jeyton were gonna be the endgames, but it got changed

I haven't kept up with interviews of the cast in recent years. It's nice to know that this was her general view of where the show was heading - even though it didn't happen.

"Shocker" I can't help but feel that half of these article writers have never watched an episode of OTH from before season 5.

Even in the early days, Brucas was just as popular as Jeyton. Then Jake emerged as a main cast member and Jeyton became just as popular as them both.

It just baffles me that people word it was if there was no other possibility except Leyton. Just the fact that Hilarie confirms she was TOLD in seasons 2 and 3 that BL and JP would be endgame, is proof enough that anything beyond season 3 was just a complete change in direction and probably due to two factors: 1) Bryan not being a regular cast member and 2) Chophia's divorce.

There definitely needs to be more objectivity in write-ups about these shows. I know Lucas and Peyton got married and I accept that, but it doesn't cancel out the very real love she felt for Jake before Leyton re-emerged.

Yep, got the same vibe. Someone who just read L/P married and didn't even consider that they had other significant partners in the many seasons before that

Probably not, it's just that considering the Hilarie quote, you kinda go in expecting it to be more pro-jeyton & then they're not mentioned after that....

Yeah, I see that. But if Hilarie was really told that JP and BL were endgame, then I think it's obvious that the reason for this not happening is Chophias divorce and Bryan's departure from the show. I really doubt it was the chemistry between this pair or that pair...

I agree. Plus, it's not like leyton was a ship known for their crazy chemistry, & I'm not saying that as a jeyton shipper & it's not hate, but you never see neutrals say 'I don't ship leyton, but they had amazing chemistry' like you do with some ships

I completely agree. I've never seen anyone saying about LP "I don't ship them but the chemistry is great", like with BL. I am an example for that actually. Can't say I like BL (I don't, at all, actually) but they do definitely have a great chem... Definitely the best Chad had with anyone, and same with Sophia.
