I was annoyed with Haley tonight up until the part where she found the Peyton pictures. Then I totally felt for her and was on her side. Looking at porn is one thing but pictures of your ex-girlfriend (and your current girlfriend's friend) in a towel is completely another.

i know, joie broke my heart last night too! I literally had to put my hand over it, because I really felt her pain. the way she made her voice kind of shakey and then her eyes were watering but no actual tears streaming down, because she was trying to stay strong--she played that so brilliantly!

I hope the writers realize what a goldmine they're sitting on! They seriously need to pimp out Haley some more!

Once again BJL was on top of her game, she rocked all her scenes last night. I felt so bad for Haley, I just wanted to hug her. Plus she looked so pretty, really liked her outfit when she went to see Peyton.

Joie was so amazing last night. There is such a resonance about her performance. Everytime Haley can't breathe with something I can't breathe. Everytime Haley gets a dagger in her heart, I get a dagger in mine. And that's because of Joie. Her performance on-screen goes beyond the surface, deep down into the heart of Haley. Her eyes become fathomless, brewing pools of emotion and I drown in them. Very few actresses can do that to me.

And when I think about Haley's reaction last night, I'm convinced that I would react in the same way on the inside.

I don't have a boyfriend right now, but I have somebody that I really like and have for years. I truly believe that I could love him greatly. If we were to finally get together and I found porn on his computer, even though my head would be saying 'everybody does it, these girls aren't real', my heart would be burdened by questions of whether I wasn't good enough. I don't think there is a peson here that can say that a little piece of them wonder that if they found their significant other looking at porn. The difference between myself and Haley is that I would probably have kept it bottled up inside,
but Haley has always been unerringly honest with Nathan. She is the mirror in his life. So I don't think it was out of place for her to confront him about it.

ITA with all of your post but especially w/ this part. Everytime something wrong w/ Haley I tend to feel it too, whether good or bad. And that speaks volumes of BJL's acting ability, not many actresses can do that. Her vulnerability scene she had w/ Nate in the end was freakin' incredible. I got all teary-eyed w/ her. [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

Mal- Wow what a beautifully written post, ITA! I think Joie really nailed just the whole feeling of being vulnerable. I was there right beside her and I would have felt the exact same way. I don't think Haley over-reacted at all I would have felt the same way if I found that my boyfriend was looking at porn (espechially the ex girlfriend pics). My favorite scene was when Haley took Nathan's hand in hers and said, I gave you my heart, and that's all I can give. If that's not enough for you, than I am not enough for you. I was just totally blown away by Joie's delivery of that line. She was absolutely amazing tonight, go Joie!

yeah that's the site i was talking about that has clips... i know jlc has some too. i never really watched joie on guiding light, but i've seen the new michelle(she doesn't really do anything for me)


ahhhh! I just watched the unaired pilot clips, and that Reagan scares me! She just seemed so off and not a haley type of character...I can't believe we almost had a Joie-less show! [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img]
