They showcased female friendships in a way that has absolutely imprinted on the real life relationships I’ve built. Sitting with her and making big plans for future ideas makes me really excited for what’s to come.

But tomorrow, I go backward. I’m doing a book tour event at @park.viewhs.ptsa . I get to walk the same hallways that I did as a teenager. I’m gonna go stand on the same stage that I did as a third grader doing theater for the very first time. And I’m probably gonna cry. Most definitely going to cry.

Thank you to everyone who is making this little journey to all of my old homes so memorable and fulfilling. And thank you to Alice. Your words have been a different kind of home. But the woman behind the words is more exciting than I could’ve anticipated. Xoxoxo

Grimoire Girl was written during a dark chapter of loss and confusion and I was frantically trying to hold on the the silver linings….the gorgeous, meaningful bits of life…the magic that makes it all worth it.
This last month, I got to experience damn near all of those silver linings in rapid succession.
I’ll try to remember it all, as much for myself as for anyone else. Because it is all worth remembering and recording.
@livekellyandmark being so supportive, @danneelackles512 and our book launch party with @mflibations ,
making friends at @scarymommy @theviewabc and @chicksintheoffice ,
@jeffreydeanmorgan and my wedding anniversary,
him lovingly hosting our @bardavonpresents event,
raising over 20k for our town’s PTSO,
Gus getting the lead role in his play,
a @nytimes BESTSELLER,
having the best night ever with my fairy godmother @ahoffmanwriter ,
going home to Park View to honor my beloved teachers and donate over 40k to their PTSA,
heading to LA for press to launch the @ichhstories Podcast (subscribe now!!!),
being with my @sophiabush ,
Laughing with @thetalkcbs @enews @entertainmenttonight @ktla5news ,
racing home to put together our middle school haunted house with the BEST team of parents
…and finally trick or treating. 🔮
To those of you who held me up this month…this year…through this whole process? I love you. Simply and sincerely. Last night I came home to amazing packages from @angelaslatter (Thank you Angela!!) and my junior year History teacher Janet Dye as my very own Halloween Treat. Janet had written out her own Grimoire story, sewn a book cover for it and embroidered it. I cried like a baby.
Gratitude is the greatest magic of all. And I’m swimming in it. Xoxoxo
