that's great the OC was really big when it began! it's a shame it couldn't hold on to that level of popularity it but i guess not many shows can once they hit the peak and i honestly believe that the OC peaked in S1 (that's not a bad thing though

I know what you mean, it was a phenomenon early on and then it seemed to fade out. It is a shame it didn't last longer.

Oliver Trask (The O.C.) is included in Entertainment Weekly's list of 20 Most Annoying TV Characters Ever
Smash | 20 Most Annoying TV Characters Ever | Photo 1 of 20 | EW.com photo 6 of 20 Oliver Trask, The O.C. (2003–04) Oliver (Taylor Handley) was around for only six episodes, but it seemed like much longer. During his time in Newport Beach, the Marissa-obsessed poor little rich boy faked a girlfriend and a suicide attempt, before sealing his TV-villain fate when he held Marissa hostage. Just the mention of Oliver's name still makes us brood, Ryan Atwood style. —Breia Brissey __________________

Is that countdown for when the first episode would air?
And Oliver. Almost 10 years later and still annoying to people. __________________

Oh Oliver. I think he made for an intriguing character.
Thanks for bringing back this thread btw, Michal. It never really took off. __________________

TV’s Top Offices:
TV’s Top Offices: Where the Showrunners of 'Mad Men,' 'New Girl,' 'Sons of Anarchy,' Work and Play Gallery - The Hollywood Reporter Josh Schwartz Shows: Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie Schwartz recalls being in his Warners office when it was occupied by The West Wing producer Thomas Schlamme. "The bookcase was lined with Emmys then," he sighs, adding, "I haven't brought any Emmys here, but I do have a Stormtrooper helmet and a gumball machine." What Schwartz's shows -- The O.C., Chuck, Gossip Girl -- have lacked in Emmy acclaim, they have more than made up for in pop-culture status, as evidenced by the magazine covers and Teen Choice Awards on display. The official Stormtrooper helmet was a present from Lucasfilm after George Lucas appeared as himself in an episode of The O.C. Jokes Schwartz, "I wear it to intimidate people in budget meetings. Schwartz, 35, got his first recognition for writing at age 7, when he won a camp contest for his review of Gremlins: "Most kids wrote, 'I love sailing,' or, 'Soccer is neat.' The opening line of my essay was, 'Spielberg has done it again.' " The bulletin board, which hangs between Savage’s and Schwartz’s offices, features shots of Schwartz’s daughter, Stella; the Cohen family’s Chrismukkah card from The O.C.; and speeding tickets Savage’s assistant has racked up on the WB lot (speed limit: 8 mph). Stephanie Savage Shows: The CW's Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie Savage's office on the Warner Bros. lot is a tribute to what she and longtime producing partner Josh Schwartz have built. Historically, the duo, who met on The O.C. and maintain separate work spaces, has been somewhat superstitious about laying down roots. "If you were on the set of our movie Fun Size this summer, you would have seen my office had a binder, a calculator and a Diet Coke in it, and that was it," jokes the single Canada native, 42. __________________

Whoa! I love the pictures! He doesn't need an Emmy for a show to be good.

Oh.My.God. I'm rendered speechless. Thanks for the news. I will remain in shock for the rest of the day. So he's dead and a suspected murderer? That's tragic on far too many levels.
