Cat obviously knows Clark from the Daily Planet. But I wonder if Kara will tell her he's her cousin without giving away the obvious connection to Superman and Supergirl also being related?

So to welcome Supergirl to the CW. They want to introduce Superman. Which is interesting given they have to be operating under a lower budget than at CBS. So I assume to use Superman, it would cost a bundle. So I am surprised they are bringing in Superman so early...

So I think in the short-term. Use Superman. See how it goes. Maybe down the line, look at a new Superman show. But I don't think it's intention yet to do one.

But using Superman will give a boost to the show to be able to promo the move to the CW. And hey, tune also for Superman. And especially depending on who they cast.

If it's a name. Or someone unknown.

I don't think they have to pay the license fees for the character use if it's on the CW, whereas CBS did have to and were already paying quite a bit to use Kara and probably all of the other characters taken from the comics.
