Not really. The same thing happened on iZombie when they had to recast the role of Peyton Charles. The character was downgraded from Regular to Recurring when Aly Michalka was chosen to play her.

This isn't really Spoilery, per se, but I figured people might want to talk about it anyway. Smallville's Supergirl, Laura Vandervoort, has received an invitation to appear on the new Supergirl from EP Andrew Kreisberg, courtesy of Twitter.

It will have to be seen whether or not her schedule lets her accept that invitation, but I think it's neat that Kreisberg extended it and did so so publicly.

Supergirl needs a sidekick/maybe future love interest - so that's Wynn.
James/Jimmy - liason to Superman so he knows Clark is Superman already in this universe. They also cast him not to be a nerd as such, to catch the eyes of a female audience.
The character of Cat Grant played by Calista Flockhart, in the DC comic universe finds out Supergirl's idenity, so it will be intresting how her character unfolds on this show.
Overall, I'm looking forward to this show, more than I was when the 'Flash' premiered.

Yep & like The Flash before it all the pilot's done is confirm for me the shows gonna be awesome. There's a few teething problems, but that'll work itself out. I don't really see the point in people urging others not to watch the leaked pilot, or calling them bad fans for doing so. In this day & age nothing ever just leaks online. It's done to ramp up the interest & give people a taster of the show before it airs, it worked with The Flash & it'll work with Supergirl to. Like sure people involved with the show may be faux annoyed, but if it wasn't supposed to be on the net it wouldn't be.

Yep. Pretty sure this is a deliberate leak. One, two ramp up the hype for the show and two, to gauge fan reaction in advance and if any restructuring needs to happen, to get a head start on it.

I enjoyed the pilot. CGI is pretty impressive, almost movie standard. Acting is good enough too.
